That I am not sure coz they're just married less than a year and start the CR1 process and it so happen this to her badly. If she can proceed w/out the needing of affidavit of support, then maybe she will find ways how to start her life the states on her own.

Who have handled everything for her regarding her husbands death? Seems like she doesn't know what is going on.

She was only informed by the family of her husband of what happened and that's why she asking opinion if she want to proceed on her own since some members here said approved I-130 will be converted to I-360 if she can informed NVC and provides death certificate.

She is lost on the process since all paper works done by her late husband and unfortunately suddenly this happen. She is working in the Philippines and since one comment above said no need to her to provide affidavit of support(I-864) then she might proceed this visa process.

Does she have the death certificate? She will need that.

Does she trust the family? I mean it seems weird that NOTHING would have been left for her.

I agree... and as wife, she’s not necessarily going to inherit any property etc obtained prior to marriage/ death...

public charge will be her primary issue...

one does wonder tho, why she’d want to move there if no family ties or place to call home etc... I for sure wouldn’t if something happened my hubby...god forbid

That's why shes is seeking advice coz she dont know what to do and since she is on half way to end the process, suddenly this happens. Maybe she will just continue to get a greencard and she will just try her luck in the states.

they got married only less than a year and that's why her husband did not link her yet to his insurances, etc since they will do it when she arrived in states.
