Popeyes - I know it's getting the raves but please, no. They advertise boneless wings - what the hell does that even mean?

All this, but I will have the Popeye's. Eventually. I love the Shake Shack in West Hollywood, fantastic people watching and usually some pretty serviceable beers/ales on tap.

LOL... I don't know what it is about their chicken NB. Maybe it's handled with love, maybe they have room to breathe, maybe they eat good, and they have different handling standards after slaughter -

Yup, add chicken to the list of "foods that suck in the US compared to the UK," with bread being the very first on that list.   That being said, I am 100% going to try this chicken sandwich

It's true.. it's a nice place to people watch, always nice to sit outside on the deck. Never thought I'd want wine with a burger but it works. And I like that if you don't want a bun you can wrap it in lettuce and they give free water. I can say that I am not a fan of their ice cream though, but we tend to be picky about that around these parts.

I just read in the NY Times that Popeyes is suspending sales of the chicken sandwich because they literally ran out of chicken breasts in the right cut. No date announced for sales to start again. I know this is truly breaking and important news! :lol:

   I'm not sure what attracted people to the sandwich in the first place, but I have to think that appeal is going to be lost when it costs $25 to get an already opened one sent via USPS.

   It's funny because these events do seem to happen from time to time. The most likely scenario is that within a few weeks, people realize it's not worth spending hours of your day in line for a generic mediocre sandwich,  and Popeye's will see some of that profit cut in to when they have to start dumping tons of expired chicken.

I just saw an ad for Jimmy John's where they only deliver to houses within 5 minutes of an outlet, and there was a competition to win a house if your current residence was outside of this delivery zone.

 

I think it any kind of a sandwich is having this kind of impact on your life you may as well put on your pajamas, never leave your house and admit you have given up on living entirely
