Priority date is almost current

Hi,  I entered the United States legally and over stated my visa,  my family and I did not understand the consequences until it was too late.  However my mom filed for me and my priority date is almost current, can I apply for adjustment of status?

Are you still in the US? How long was your overstay? Is your mom an USC or LPR?

Yes I am still inside the US, Didn't want to be barred for 10 years so I stayed plus I didn't have anywhere to stay in my home country, I over stayed for 4 years. At the time my mom petitioned for me she was an LPR now she is a USC. My priority date is April 2015, ☺️

What country are you from? Assuming you are from ROW the priority dates for F1 in the upcoming bulletin are Jan 1, 2013. So your priority date is not almost current...

 

 

Note: can you also confirm you are unmarried?

Yes I am unmarried,  I was placed in the f2b category,  I called nvc center 2 weeks ago and was told I am still in the f2b category,  the agent was very friendly

You appear to be nowhere near current 

 

I also disagree with granting citizenship to LPR’s who are harboring their illegal family members.

Agree 100%.  I don't understand how people can knowingly violate US immigration laws, then come here looking for advice......
