Still in AP

I had my k1 visa interview on the 5th of July and I was given a white paper to submit additional documents which I submitted on the 24th of July and since then I have not heard anything from the embassy not even receipt notice.  Case status keep updating date but on AP.  What do I do please

There is nothing you can do. The date updating means that they are looking at your file.

Ok. Well OP AP for a longer time is normal in Nigeria.

I am in Nigeria. Thank you for your response but my question is that does that mean they have not received my documents since AP even before I submit and not change to acknowledge document receipt

No you will be in AP until approved or denied. 

 

I know it sucks but you will have to try and be a bit more patient.

first of all 

1   create a timeline here to help the VJ community answer any and all questions

2.  next ,  be prepared to marry if the K1 is denied 

3.  need much patience to go thru this process

4.  read the portal for Nigeria and the embassy reviews as that is your best source reguarding your embassy

5.  many here wait years (ours was total of 6 ) to get a visa

6.  this is not easy 

     this is not fast

     this is not cheap

7.  get to know your USC fiancee and be prepared for everything in the USA /  there are many posts on here from others who are discouraged as with K1 you can not work immediately and many get homesick and lonely /some can not adapt to foods /  some to our weather/  and many are surprised to find out how hard Americans have to work..   Imagine a person living in the country and suddenly in a big city or visa versa.   or you coming from hot weather to a place where there is snow 6 months of the year.     Just prepare yourself for all these changes

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

If you are a student of VJ, then you would have come across a lot of information that has answered your question even before you asked. AP questions is asked every hour. Look through the thread, I bet in the last week there is a title that has AP in for at 10-12 entries.

 

I really worry that you may not make it as it seems no research. Get out and shake some hands.

 

They will ask for your passport when they are ready to issue the visa.
