congratulations. Are you scheduled for July 3 or you got your update on June 3?

I am still waiting on mine?

Oops yea bad wording - just the uscis website says I’ve been scheduled for interview as of June 3rd - not received any notice with actual interview date yet!

Fingers crossed you’ll get an update shortly too!

Congrats to everyone who's seen movement on their case, and solidarity to those of us still waiting!

I'm curious for those of you who were planning to apply for citizenship under the 3 year rule and who have seen case numbers close to yours have movement, are you planning to apply as soon as the window opens, or wait until your I-751 is approved?  My husband is eligible to apply for citizenship on September 15, and when we first applied for I-751 we expected to be waiting well over a year, so we were just planning to apply as soon as the window opened.  But now that a lot of case numbers near ours are getting approved, I'm wondering if we don't hear back by September 15 if we should wait just a little bit in case we get the approval somewhat soon?  I don't think our local office (Hartford, CT) is known for slowing down both processes when you apply for N-400 with I-751 still pending, but it does seem like it might be simpler/neater to apply for citizenship once the I-751 is approved.  If when September rolls around it seems like a lot of cases near ours are getting approved, maybe we could wait a month or two just in case?

Anyone having similar thoughts?

Hey,

That is my plan too.

Someone told me of someone that got her citizenship while waiting on her I-751 to be approved (I don't know how true the story is)

Does it just say "ready to be scheduled for interview" or something else? Ready to be scheduled for interview is a little different than having an interview scheduled - it just means all the other boxes have been ticked and the next step is an interview, which you've been put in line for. I'm not sure if USCIS is actually scheduling interviews at the moment for ROC cases.

My take is that if you plan to apply for citizenship at some point, it makes sense to apply as soon as possible so long as you have the money and are prepared to take the civics and English exam. Given the likelihood that USCIS fees increase annually, it'll just get more expensive the longer you wait. That being said, once you have a 10 year GC, you don't really need to make a decision until you hit the 10 year mark. You'll either do an I-90 to renew your PR status or make the jump to citizenship. Personally, my wife and I decided that it makes sense to apply for citizenship as soon as she's eligible since it gives her the flexibility to travel with me (mostly) visa-free along with a host of other benefits (voting, eligibility for federal government jobs, etc.)

(By the way, we're LIN filers without any status update since "case was received" back in September of last year.)

Hello there !
How do you see what exactly cases were approved, when it only says “ card was mailed “, and doesn’t say it was I-751?
mine is LIN2090003***, and I see many cases were approved. I filed mine in September, the fingerprints were taken in November .
Good luck to all of us! We are receiving  our GC in the mail 🍀 in few days 🕉

02/08/2019 - Package was received .

Hello,

I'm a November filer and got an email update from USCIS on 07/11:

"Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken; As of July 11, 2020, fingerprints relating to your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC20XXXXXXXX have been applied to your case."

Since my old prints have been applied, what would be the next phase and approx how long would it take? it took 8 months to get to this message and the temp approval expires in 16 months. Thank you.

@DragonBallZee it is hard to say what the next phase will be especially with the pandemic. They can either send a request for more evidence, schedule you for an interview or just approve you. I filed in September 2019, my finger prints were taken 1/23 and my status still states "Case Was Received". If you received your extension letter in November, you still have a good 8 more months so stay put and be patient.

9/4/2019 - Packet was sent
9/6/2019 - Packet was received by USCIS in Phoenix, Arizona
9/11/2019 - Personal Check was deposited/cashed by USCIS
9/11/2019 - Received text message with my LIN case #
9/14/2019 - Received Receipt and Extension
1/10/2020 (Day 126) - Received Biometrics Letter
1/23/2020 (Day 139) - Biometrics Completed

2/8/2020  - Separated from Husband

8/11/2020 - Divorce was Finalized

9/10/2020 - New Card is Being Produced

9/14/2020 - New Card was Mailed

9/15/2020 - Post Office Picked Up the Card

9/16/2020 - Card Delivered

8/21/2022 - N-400 Form was Submitted and Case is Being Actively Reviewed

10/21/2022 - Interview scheduled

12/1/2022 - Interview and approved

12/1/2022 - Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled (30-45 days)

@luckylola you would need to have followed cases early on. you can only tell if a case was I-751 up to when the "fingerprints" updates. after that, the online status doesn't specify if it was an I-751 or anything else.

Usually what i have seen here people do, once you file and you get your case number, chances are that cases 3 months ahead of you are still specifying to be I-751. so you write those numbers down somewhere and you keep an eye on their progress. otherwise you are on the mercy of someone giving you their full case number which i dont think will happen.

and as you will see, there are less than five I-751 cases in 100 consecutive case numbers. it can be daunting task, thanks to the tracking apps like "Case Tracker" that helps to sort them for you.

@Walbrzyszanka221 Thanks for your reply - I hope we all get through this asap. The next few months are critical but not quite sure exactly how many would it take: counting on hopefully less then eight months.
