Hello,

quick timeline:

12-18-19: Interview. Approved. Passport was kept. No 221g given or anything.

12-19-19: Immigrant visa changed to non-immigrant visa as below image.

12-23-19: email by Montreal for DS5535 - Sent back same date. But did not see any change to CASE LAST UPDATED on below image.

Mine looks like below, does yours look the same.

I'm just wondering with the holidays if it caused a delay or the DS5535 causing delay?

Hey! sorry to hear about your added step... Did they give you any information as to why?

I did some research and it seems they give DS-5535 is you have travel history to any us travel banned country, working in the us for 5 years, or any middle eastern background?

It still says immigrant visa, and it was last updated Dec 19. I’m thinking the holidays caused a delay. As well as now having to put the fingerprints and passport with other file as well. Just really hoping we hear something soon!

Hey guys! I have my interview next week and not going to lie im pretty nervous.

I submitted by DS-160 in October and everything was accurate.

I decided last minute to go to the US for American Thanksgiving, does this mean I need to do another DS-160 to add those travel dates in?

If so on the AIS website it seems if I want to amend my DS160 number i need to cancel the appointment and create a new one with that DS 160 new number.

Any help is appreciated!

Hey guys! What website(s) should we use to track our visa after our interview?

I had my interview yesterday and I've been just using the ceac website.

I tried going on the ais.usvisa-info website on the paper they gave us after the interview but no luck. These websites are so confusing.

In what duration one should enter to US, once the K- visa is issued ?  ... like in 1 month or 6 month ? ( I know after POE, 90 days are there to get tied )

It's 6 months from the date of your medical exam.

The CEAC one will (eventually) update to let you know once you've entered Administrative Processing and, after that, when it's finally issued.

The ais.usvisa-info one was useless, as it never updated past "scheduled".

CEAC updated to Administrative Processing a couple hours ago or so! How long does it typically stay in that?

Yeah, I got nowhere using the AIS website they had on the interview paper since it didn't let me choose K1 from the options. I went on the AIS website where we scheduled our interviews and it's showing as "appointment" now.

After my CEAC changes to "issued", where do I check for the package?

Thank you.

AP is a bit of a crapshoot ... mine only lasted a day, while another member who interviewed the same day was in AP for close to a week, and another even longer. I really don't know the reasons it differs so, but best of luck for a speedy AP.

Did you sign up for courier service, or regular expedited mail? I opted for the courier, and received an e-mail very shortly after "Issued" with a tracking number and estimated arrival date. At the very least, even if you didn't go the courier route, I expect you'd get a notification with a Canada Post tracking number as well. I had mine delivered to my workplace to avoid any chance of it arriving at home without me there and ending up in courier hell.

I only did regular mail, but I have the option to still sign up for premium delivery. I would also get it delivered to my work place.

Do you think it's too late to add on premium delivery? I would rather get it through Purolator BUT I don't want to confuse them now...
