I should add, I am not adjusting from K-1 but rather from a work permit, so I wouldn't know the details of K-1 and if the same co-sponsors must be on AoS, so I hope other members can help.

Oh I see, thanks so much. Hope someone doing AOS from a K1 Visa can help out. I'm still trying to find an answer

It will be interesting to see if you got your interview at San Jose office or if they transferred you to another office - do keep us updated when you get your letter! What number did you call to check your change of address? My husband might get a new job sometime in the next few months so we might be moving - I want to learn about the process as much as I can before that happens because those horror stories are terrible! I am so glad yours went well.

When you say your priority date updated, what does it mean? Did you get a new I-797C notice with new priority date? My priority date is July 1st 2019 (the date USCIS received our file). I am wondering if I move, will I get a new priority date which will push back my wait time even more (e.g., priority date/case received becomes a 2020 date)?

Thanks so much for sharing your experience!

I honestly don't remember the number but when I read the change of address form instructions on USCIS website, the phone number was there. I'm sure you'll have no trouble finding it once you need it.

I guess I didn't use the right term for the date that got updated on my case. My priority date didn't change, the only date that did change was the date of my "Ready to be scheduled" status. You know how they write "On January 16 we are ready to schedule an interview..." Originally that date for me was October 9, while my field office was still SF. But after I filed change of address, the message in my "Ready to be scheduled status" changed to "On November 1 we are ready to schedule...". So it's just there, no notices or anything. But the case does go back in line at a new office once it's transferred.

How many people on this page are still waiting for interviews or even EAD cards? I’m still waiting.

Still waiting here. NOA1 July, 15. Had 2 RFE's (Sept and Dec). I also applied for an expedite in Nov. It was never approved nor denied but was re-started this month due to delay with the last RFE. This is hell. I just received a new job offer yesterday and have no idea if I will be able to accept it.

Wow I am in the exact same boat that is weird, my NOA1 is August 1st. About to respond to my second expedite request today by faxing off documents. Start date is suppose to be 3rd February and if I can’t start on that day the job offer won’t be available to me anymore since I was suppose to start on 23rd December.

My start date is Feb 3 too. I am pretty annoyed because with my first expedite request they emailed me a letter with the instructions to fax evidence. This time, for some reason, they send it in the mail - it has been 8 days and still hasn't arrived! How did they send your's? And what happened to your first expedite?

Same position again! They have sent the letter out by mail on Friday so I’m not waiting for that. Today I called USCIS and spoke to a tier 2 officer and she read the letter out to me with the details like fax number and everything. So I suggest you try do that in the next 5 minutes or so because they stop taking calls at 12pm. And my first expedite never got approved or denied I sent in my job offer then got a RFE for my 485 a week later so that put it on hold so I made another one for them to start processing again and now they want another job offer letter so hopefully I can send it off today.

I already called at 9 this morning and am waiting on a call-back from tier 2 any time now. I was thinking of doing that but the letter tells you to fax a copy of the letter too. I was worried that sending it in without that would cause problems. You might be right though. Time is of the essence here! Do you know if it is the exact same fax number and contact information as your first expedite?

Yeah just create a cover letter with all your details on it that’s what she told me, and it’s the same number just different division so I would wait for your call back to get that information. Let me know how it goes.

I wonder if anyone has the same problem as me.

NOA1: July 12, 2019

Bio: Oct 18, 2019

Ready to schedule an interview: Nov 18, 2019

I131 approved: Jan 03, 2020

It's already 18 days and I still don't receive AP document.

And I don't have the receipt number for my I-765 so I don't know what's going on with my EAD. I only have receipt number for I131, I130 and I1485. What should I do?

‭+1 (800) 375-5283‬ Press 1,1,2,2 then you’ll be transferred to a level one representative tell them that you wanna speak to a tier 2 office then they will transfer your call and put you on a call back list. Just bare in mind they aren’t that helpful depending on who you get, seems like they just wanna get you off the phone. I had one hang up on me a few weeks back because I’m trying to expedite my case so I can work and she said well that’s why you have a sponsor. Thank you for calling USCIS and then hung up on me. Like what if I was trying to start work for medical reasons and need to pay medical bills etc etc... that my sponsor cant afford. Anyway rant over good luck anyway.

So my start date is being pushed back one last time to the 3rd of February so let’s see if I can get a response soon.

oh wow! how rude of that person.... I am going to try and call them again today thanks for the info and I hope you get your expedite soon!
