Potomac Service Center here, I'm on the same boat as the previous comments: Stuck on Firgerprints taken.

In case anyone asks, I've used the Letter of Extension 4 times already when coming from overseas, without any problems.

I'm wondering if I'll be able to apply for the citizenship before I get the 10 year green card. This system makes absolutely no sense

Timeline

I just received my biometrics appointment letter today for 2/7/2020. My service center is CSC, WAC filer. We are moving, woot woot! My case status never changed in both old and new USCIS sites, so don’t rely 100% on those. 😅

Current timeline:

July 2019 - filed I-751

August 2020 - filed N400

Sept. 2020 - i-751 status "Case Was Transferred to a New Office". Transferred to NBC.

April 12, 2021 - N400 interview in LA passed (with a pending i-751)

May 20, 2021 - I-751 status changed to Approved and N400 status changed to Oath Will Be Scheduled. 🤩

May 21, 2021 - received a call and email from USCIS Los Angeles with my NOA with my oath schedule.

May 28, 2021 - oath taking schedule in USCIS DTLA office. 😍

We had our interview this morning. We were immediately separated when they called my spouse first and he want in for about 35 minutes. Then the officer came out and called me back while my spouse stayed in the waiting area.

Not sure if it was because we are a same-sex couple or if it's just standard protocol. Other couples/families weren't separated. At the end he said we would receive a letter by the end of next week with their decision or if they need more information.

He never asked for the updated documents, so I made sure to give it to him at the end anyway.

Similar circumstances to my wife and I during AOS, I assume the officer suspected something and was confirming answers between partners prior to making a decision. I would not worry pending results in the newt 1-2 weeks. Best of luck to you

Woww. I hope you get it in a few days.

What kind of questions did they ask you?

Thanks! After speaking with my husband after, our answers pretty much matched. Although he (foreign spouse) was asked a few questions about details of our apartment that I wasn't asked, such as what the flooring was like, how many bedrooms there were. Not sure how he can verify if we weren't asked all the same.

I'm sure it will be fine, but it's still nerve wracking!

This is what I can remember

  1. Confirm your address
  2. How did you meet? (then asked what website, because we met online)
  3. How long did you date?
  4. What did you do on your first date?
  5. How did you propose marriage?
  6. How much is rent?
  7. Who pays rent?
  8. Who does the shopping?
  9. How often?
  10. Who does the cooking?
  11. How often?
  12. Who was the last person to visit your apartment?
  13. Who was it?
  14. How do you celebrate the holidays?
  15. What was the last holiday you celebrated and how?
  16. What did you do for your birthday last year?
  17. What did you do for your spouse's birthday last year?
  18. Do you have any tattoos?
  19. How many tattoos?
  20. What do you do for fun?
  21. What does your spouse do for fun?
  22. When was your last vacation?
  23. Where do you work?
  24. Where does your spouse work?
  25. Do you have any pets?
  26. What tv shows do you each watch?

Questions asked to spouse but not me:

  1. What did you do last weekend?
  2. What is the flooring like in the apartment?
  3. How many bedrooms are there?
  4. What side of the bed do you sleep on?

There may be more, but that's all I can remember right now. Good thing I looked at Stokes interview questions just in case!
