I expedited a case for medical reasons. I called and explained the situation and reason I was requesting expedition. I then rec’d an email that requested additional info. I submitted my discharge papers from the hospital proving my hospitalization/ condition. I also had to get a letter from my doctor saying it was an acute condition and not chronic or a change in previous condition. My doctor had to write describe what was wrong with me and that it wasn’t safe for me to fly back and forth and I need assistance with aftercare. It took about a week and a half(I think they tell you 2 weeks) and I called to check the status. They said request for expedition approved on___and I’d get the Letter in the mail.

that was quick.. now he is still at the hospital due to pneumonia and blood infection. you think its okay to include this also once he is discharged?? he is still about to request a letter from his doctor too and once he has it, then he call uscis so atleast the supporting docs are ready..

Yes my doc rounds at the hospital and was my attending physician. I sent the discharge papers with the diagnosis etc. and I went to my follow up appointment a week later and got a letter stating the requested info from my doc.

Hello guys,

So my husband called ucsis yesterday and explaining his situation specially health issues. He was disabled since 2005 and at the moment he is in nursing homes as sherif dept would not allow him to go back home as he cant take care of himself anymore.

i was confused because the lady he spoked with just gave him two options to select which category my husband wants. 1-for severe loss 2-humanitarian reasons. So my husband select #2. Shouldnt be fall under like emergency situation?

At the end of the call, the lady gave us reference number and she said we will expect a response from uscis within 5days for the supporting docs. We have already letter from his doctor and discharged slips.

i feel like the category that the lady gaves us is not exactly what my husband means.. anyone have the same situation as ours?

Thank you.
