Oohhhh...i got worried reading ur post...well u can use USCIS app for mobile ...where u dnt hav to put tracking no. Again n again to check status...u jus need to enter for first tym thats all...n thn u can check tht anytime u want in ur mobile ...i m using tht n its handy n will save u frm such situation

Finally received my receipt numbers by text. Now I can stop bugging my wife about them

so here's my concern or worry

 

I got 2 duplicate of text msgs totaling 4 texts from USCIS on 19th night.

when i just checked back

 

1. one of the reciept number ending 5: On June 18, 2019, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

2. other reciept number ending in 6: On June 13, 2019, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, Receipt Number MSC1991199616, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case

 

but no reciept number for my I-485, i checked my bank, both checks for $85 and $1140 have been cashed.

i'm concerned and in panic mode...

The fingerprint fee status comes after they've received it and assigned a case number so you should have one. Try searching for the case number with the last digit before yours and see if you find it.

 

For example, my case numbers are:

 

I-485 - MSCXXXXX04

I-131 - MSCXXXXX05

I-765 - MSCXXXXX06

1 the fingerprint fee is your case number for your I-485 AOS it’s the normal receipt status they take the fee when they receive it don’t panic does it read anything like this? “On June 13, 2019, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number Xxxxxx Our National Benefits Center location is working on your case. We mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice” ?

Try not to stress too much! Up to a month can be normal. After another week or so try giving them a call, or you could call them now just for the peace of mind if you're worried too much.
