ARGENTINA Packet 3 + Embassy interview

Mini update:

I picked up my passport today. They contacted me via email yesterday and they kinda gave me an appointment for 11:15. Many people were there to pick up passports. I got mine at 11:35. You don't have to enter to the embassy, and you can bring your phone for this "appointment"

Hi.i got expedited and the bsas embassy gave me a interview mid dic !

Hi! Congrats on your appointment! Just wondering if when you entered to the page to schedule your appointment, you had to enter several times to find an available date or if you got it right away. Also, could you pay for the fee before having the appointment or you can only do it once you have a date? Thanks!!🙏

Are we supposed to be checking the platform? How do I access it? I thought the NVC was to send us the date. We DQd Sept 2 and are still waiting.

BuenosAires-IV@state.gov

You can email the embassy if there aren't any dates available and they will make some dates/times available.  You do need to pay the immigration fee before scheduling your appointment because that is part of the instructions you were sent for the embassy packet you need to drop off before your interview, regardless of the visa you are applying.

You are supposed to check the platform for appointments.  However, if you were DQ'd, it might be different.  I would email the embassy BuenosAires-IV@state.gov and ask them how to proceed.

Probably this is the new way of proceeding because of covid.
Before it was as @Fe.Ta mentioned. You were the one scheduling the interview, not the embassy.

Is there anything else to pay after the doctor Fees +the 175 dol ?

Once the interview is approved, you have to pay USD 220 either before or after entering the US (I’ve read that before is better), the consul will tell you. They gave me a paper explaining this as well. It’s an immigrant fee, without it the green card will not be created and mailed.

I think his visa (IR-2) is only given an interview appointment by the NVC, like CR-1/IR-1 visas. One cannot choose.

i think it’s different for K-1 visas.
