You are referring to the dreaded DS-5535 form asking for all social media accounts, travel history, details on family, work, for many years.  There is a forum here on VJ about experiences in AP with the DS-5535 you can find and read so you know others' experiences and the long wait time involved.  Because of the visa application backlogs around the world and the research needed to review everything on the DS-5535, it can take a very long time and this will require a lot of patience for both of you in the interim.  All I can suggest is patience and go to visit your spouse as often as you can while waiting.  Good luck!

The paper didn’t even have a seal or a form number. It was just a word document with the information you are talking about.

Unfortunately as mentioned, AP is open ended. Some last 2-3 days, 2-3 weeks, 2-3 months, even 1+ years. Was a poster here a month or so ago who was on AP for 18+ months for a spousal visa. You being a citizen of the US has nothing to do with it, it's about the beneficiaries background/security checks and the embassies ability to get and verify those records. Nothing to do with you.

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

This is ridiculous. I’m a citizen...

So are the spouses of everyone else in AP.

The AP is unlikely to be anything to do with you, it’s about the spouse. Men from MENA countries typically experience longer-than-average AP times.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

yes, that would be the ds5535 that asks for siblings names,   all social media sites used , all email ID"s ,  all travel history for last 15 years

and it is taking a year and sometimes longer for the security checks for this form

look here under forums for Off topic for a discussion about this form

also there is a ds5535 page in facebook

Hi everyone. So they asked him to redo his medical police check and send in his passport. So it’s almost been two months since he redid his medical. We sent everything in start of May. They haven’t sent us anything back. I emailed them a few days ago they never replied but the CEAC website still says AP. I don’t get it...I’m so upset
