Ok. I found out. For others... Your fiancée will have to pay this tax. It is 1620=$35 so make sure your fiancée has this if it is in the Philippines. It is required before checking in at the airport. This is for any Filipino or any non-citizen that has been there for over a year anytime you fly

Hi there everyone~

Been out of touch with this website for a while now. Came back to give everyone an update.

My fiancee just had her interview in Korea yesterday and she was approved without any problems!

How long does it take to see "Ready" status to "Issued"?

It took 4 days for us!  I think it depends on the embassy though.

Congratulations!!!

That's too bad that you have been out of touch as there are many places around VJ that might help you with that answer. Try exploring where the flag in your profile will take you. Just click on it. It's like Dorothy in the "red shoes" and you get to be the wizard. Since every embassy and everyone's case is different I'm afraid no one can give you a concrete answer. But try my suggestion and see what you find.

Hey guys. My fiancé just came back from his interview and he didn’t get a denial or an approval. They gave him a form and said they need more proof of relationship. They said they need all of our WhatsApp conversations downloaded and sent to them from the beginning. They said they need more pictures from our engagement ceremony(we sent about 4). And they also said they need two passport photos because the ones my fiancé took weren’t the right size. I’m so confused on what will happen now.

You will gather the information they are requesting, then you will submit it to them according to the 221(g) requirement, then you will wait for them to look over the additional evidence from your reply to the 221(g) and then they will render a decision. No one knows how long that will take. We have seen 2 to 4 weeks up to months and years and it all depends on the Embassy.

The engagement ceremony is what maybe the RED FLAG from your interview.

Just a bit of caution with the use of the engagement photos and the visa process. Though it may not be true for your embassy but those in other countries have faced a higher amount of scrutiny when "engagement photos" are used for evidence of a continued relationship. Some applicants have used them in front of the CO and the CO interrupts the pictures of the engagement as a "wedding" and without notice DECLINES the visa application. This is typically a problem for those in India who dress in customary traditional clothing that is worn at a wedding. I'm not up on other countries and their customs but I just want to make you aware of it.

When I checked CEAC it shows Administrative Processing ... Does everyone go through Administrative Processing?? I know @Greenbaum will probably throw something at me for asking as I am sure it's in one of the threads somewhere... But I have looked and can't seem to find an answer.. Don't want to over think and  trust the process.. just want to know if this should be cause for concern  ... image.png.c298b03a2f4e93b44df25f6110d92c09.png
