TAX Return Transcripts or Tax Account Transcripts or W2

Hi guys

I have a question. Should we provide tax return transcripts or tax account transcripts or W2 forms for affidavit of support?

Either one or the other.  I believe tax transcripts are preferred, but copies of returns with the W2s and 1099s will also suffice.  Just make sure you do not send in both as USCIS seems to be easily confused.  There are several stories of folks that sent in transcripts and copies of returns without the W2s and 1099s and they received RFEs for missing information (the aforementioned W2s and 1099s).

If I had both, sufficient income and all your significant income is from your employer, I'd send in the W-2.

If this for the visa, whatever the embassy asks for.  

 

From the embassy in our case:

 

”I-134, updated W2 and 1040”

 

not a transcript. A 1040 and a W2. 

 

None of which were actually collected during the visa interview.

Is  4 years of  tax return transcripts, past 6 months of pay stubs, employment letters be enough?
Or I need to prepare the 1040 & W2?
