Front-loading engagement pictures K1 visa Pakistan

Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of applying for a K1 visa for my fiance who is in Pakistan and I'm really confused on the issue of front-loading engagement pictures or not. I've seen conflicting information on this issue where some say to include engagement pictures with the I-129F and others say not to do so. I visited my fiance in Pakistan a month ago and I met him there several times but I only have pictures of us being together on three separate occasions, out of which one of these occasions was our engagement. It was a fairly simple engagement held at my fiance's home and the only people present were close family members (~15 people total).

My questions are 1) will it be enough if I submit pictures of us together from just two occasions (no engagement pics)? I can send about 6-7 pictures. I will of course be submitting other evidence along side the pictures such as passport copy with stamps, boarding passes, restaurant receipt, call logs etc. 2) If I don't submit engagement pictures with the I-129F, will the CO ask for these pictures at the time of interview? And would that be an issue? (As in could the CO ask or get suspicious that why we did not send these engagement pictures with the I-129F).

I know that this issue is somewhat specific to the embassy where the interview will take place so I will really appreciate any feedback from people who have had a successful experience with the K1 visa from Pakistan.

Thank you!

I would not send them. We have seen here way to many times where people have included them and the co see it as a wedding and will deny the k-1. (Aka too married for a K-1 and not married enough for a cr-1 visa)

I second @Georgia16...engagement photos frequently result in denials for K-1 applicants as the Consulate interprets it as being "too married" for a K-1.

If a CO were to specifically ask for engagement photos, then obviously you'd need to comply with that request. I don't know if that is a common question that comes up. Also, FYI: Consulates have been known to search through Facebook pages and other social media profiles...so if you've uploaded any engagement photos there and the Consulate were to find them, that's also something to think about.

If i were you, I would read ALL the reviews for K-1 and Pakistan consulate/embassy.

Then you will have hard information of what others' have experienced.

I would say use them but to a necessary extent. They're very knowledgeable of the customs and routines and in my k1 for Pakistan I did use maybe 4 picture from my engagement  which was in a marquee type thing. Mind you we did get an rfe where I had to send even more proof of relationship which is where I added everything I could because I met her again in between as well. So definitely all proof you can give and you have a good head start with what you're doing. Good luck!
