But you had none left because your wife lent them all out?

I always felt like I was failing at motherhood because I didn't have some insta ready pictures like that.  My kids often, depending on their growth, don't even have fancy outfits, because we never wear them.

It is probably a good holiday if we can even manage a group picture.

Are your kids clean, clothed, fed, loved and housed??? If so, you are not failing at motherhood. They are learning gratitude a much better life skill IMO than having matchy-matchy outfits. We all wore each others hand-me-downs depending on age and size.

We all swap clothes in my small town, so they not only wear each other's hand me downs, but probably a couple of other kids in town too. There's no shame in it and I think it is quite environmentally friendly.

Everyone swaps BOGS boots too, those things are expensive and practically the only kid boot that works in our climate.

I definitely make the kids wear holiday themed clothes year round. The Troll has a favorite dinosaur wrapped up in Christmas lights he likes to rock.

Everyone here also gets everyone else's ickies all the time. We all use the same 2 or 3 carts at the store, the same card readers, we have the same mail person, etc.

The kids all change shoes at school and many walk around barefoot at school. They are already sharing foot nasties.

The only issue that my mother and I have had in common so far is maybe ankylosing spondylitis, but I'm still in denial about it.

I think my daughter will have it too, she doesn't have a lot of mobility/flexibility in her spine, but she doesn't have the joint and leg pain that we both suffered with starting younger.

Otherwise our bodies are pretty much opposites in function.

Yank it all out. Best thing I ever did. I had fibroids the size of walnuts, of course I got that from my mtDNA lineage.

@N-o-l-a I still have my -30 below zero pack boots from my time in MN. The only thing that kept my feet from getting frostbite while working on a film set in the winter.

I'd be worried about the hormonal issues from removing it all. I assume they leave the ovaries?

My cycle finally just regulated post baby. I could actually leave the house last time and didn't lose like a pint of blood.  ☠️

Warm boots are a must. I think I get made fun of a bit for it, but I bring my full winter gear on calls we get in winter. It is never good to be a second patient yourself.

Yes if they are healthy. I still have mine and I deal with the hormonal issues by taking BHRT. (Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy) I found a great MD here who specializes in it. I had a great surgeon who did everything laproscopicaly and was back at work and school in 2 weeks, driving in 10 days.

My cousin's daughter-in-law tried the ablation first and then ended up having a hysterectomy 2 years later. She said the ablation improved things in the beginning but later was worse than before.
