Welcome to another monthly thread for those going through NVC

 

Please read everything below and refer to it throughout your NVC journey, whether this is your first month at NVC or your third.

Before posting questions, please read the wiki Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)Don't forget to also read the official form instructions as well as USCIS and NVC's websites!

Yes this thread was created by our great Queen Saylin and the knowledge is still going forward. This thread I pray stays alive and well as many who have gone through the process or still going can chime in and help and assist.

If you're wondering about time frames, look at the fellow members right here in this thread! Study their signatures/timelines and make notes. VJ also has this awesome page. Use it! I sure did during my process  That means if you are on this thread WE expect you to have an up to date timeline.

Yeah it should be it takes 11-14 days Avg.

NVC received my case November 21st. 

 

I hope to get my case number within the next 2 weeks.

Hi I submitted ds 260 and all other documents as on 17 Dec but still appearing Notice action SUBMITTED REQUESTED DOCUMENTS . Is this means nvc review my documents or I have to submit documents again.

If someone is confused about status of the documents, you can read more about it here :

The Status column will reflect one of the following statuses:

Missing = You need to upload and submit this document.

Uploaded = You scanned and uploaded this document but you have not submitted it for NVC’s review.

N/A = You marked this document as not available.

Submitted = You submitted this document and it is with NVC for review.

Rejected = NVC reviewed this document and something is incorrect. Please look at NVC’s feedback to the right under “Response Note” and then correct and re-submit the document.

Accepted = NVC has reviewed this document and there are no changes that need to be made.

If NVC finds an error on a required document, they will reject the document and tell you what needs to be corrected. They will post their feedback to the right of the document, in the Response Note column. They will also send you a message in your CEAC account detailing what the error is and how to fix it. You then need to delete the rejected document, and upload a corrected document. After you submit it, NVC will review it.

No need to worry. Some cases are like that. It’ll keep saying action required even after you submit documents. Same happened with me. My case is with Indian Consulate in Mumbai. You could can still call NVC and find out if they got everything they need.

Sent my documents to NVC on 12/26, and just received an email with case complete! Meaning 1 week of analysis from their side. I'm so happy 😄

Lucky You they were taking up to 2 Weeks few days ago. Congrats

What country? Mine were submitted on the 21st haven’t received anything

Please how do we upload documents because I saw that it will not be more than 2megabytes. I want to add them in one file but if I do it will be more than 2megabytes. Please I need clarification

Should I write my name, date of birth and case number on each file I want to upload, if yes what about the original documents that is not photocopy
