Good for you man. By the way, I posted this question about a week ago but I never got a response. I saw on the NVC website that the petition is valid for four months from the time USCIS approves it and cannot be extended unless a CO extends it. My NOA2 says it’s valid til May 7, does it mean my fiancé has to have his interview before that? I’m planning to join him when he goes for his interview but I’m not flying to Manila til May 16. What do you think? Am I interpreting this wrong? Any input will be appreciated.

That's a great question that I can't answer.  That's a @Greenbaum or Hank question.  Did you post that question in the Philippines Regional forum?

I posted it on this thread. I did email Greenbaum but thought I’d ask you/repost this question again to see if I’ll get a response.

Today we set up out interview and the only dates available for interview in Brazil are April 2 (filling up really fast),9 and 16! :( :(

Hope this helps someone here that are trying to set up their interview in Brazil!

Good luck everyone!

Just an estimate then, since our NOA2 was Jan 17 and that's all we have, we likely won't get an interview until late May or June.  I was sure he would be here by my birthday in July. Now, well just have to see.  One frickin year... 😞

And they should have given us NOA2 in December if they hadn't sent us an RFE for info they already had!

I-129F packet sent = 06/15/2018

I-129F NOA1 = 06/21/2018

RFE = 12/19/2018

RFE response = 01/12/2019

I-129F NOA2 = 01/19/2019

NVC received = 02/14/2019 ♥️

Embassy received = 03/07/2019

Interview = 05/07/2019  Requested more documents.  Returned beneficiary's passport to him. Submitted documents 6/3/19. Email received saying they were received.

Emailed Consulate = 08/02/2019 asking about visa. Received email stating they had never received the documents. Sent documents again.

Phone call from consulate = 08/07/2019 saying they were approving the visa. Fiancé has to send them his passport.

Passport returned to consulate (in person) =

Visa received = 09/05/2019

Entry into USA = 10/24/2019

Married = 11/23/2019

AOS sent =

Yup!!I am in the SAME Exact boat as you! I got an RFE in NOVEMBER!!!! SENT EXACT SAME PROOF as it was on the original I-129...and here we are. added 3 months to our journey!

Very frustrating. And Rio is VERY VERY SLOOOOWWW.... but I am willing to bet, if all goes to plan that you may be able to get your interview in May! I do see that as a possibility for you!

For Ukraine, I believe you can go ahead and schedule the interview if you paid the visa fee and have your medical :)
