The youngster sparked outrage across social media when she posted a video apparently showing staff at Osseo Senior High in Minnesota forcing open a cubicle door while she sat inside.

A female teacher uses a metre ruler to reach over the stall door and unlock the sliding bolt. At least one police officer is also present.

Although staff appear to go out of their way to remain calm, turning away from the teenager once the door is open, she claims the action is “violating” her. She repeatedly calls them "perverts".

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

It's frustrating when one involved party is unable to speak openly about an event because of rules revolving privacy.

Hospitals run into this problem all the time. If a family wants to go public about the care of a family member they can say whatever they want, but a hospital can't respond because of HIPAA. So the narrative becomes very one sided.

You seemed to have missed the major item, what were they doing with a metre ruler in Minnesota?

Over reaction on the part of the school, I do not understand/agree with  transgender feelings, the child had a right to privacy

The problem is the school can't actually give their view/opinion.

What if the girl was doing drugs in the bathroom stall? Or breaking some other serious school rule.

They called the police so something serious was clearly going on.

Since when has reason been relevant in these circumstances, that the person, we have to be so careful of pronouns, was doing drugs and did a runner is irrelevant.

There are certain situations in which the school would have cause to break into the stall. They are essentially claiming they had a reason, but they just can't say due to the incident involving a minor.

Do they still use metre or yard sticks?  I though corporal punishment was eliminated.

Cops are called when someone falls asleep in a library... Or when someone is mowing the lawn. Doesn't have to be something serious. Could be the teachers just decided to be ### holes.

Just read the article.  Apparently, she was warned prior, not to use the girls' restroom at that school.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

She was born a male and is in some stage of the transition to female.

Gotcha thanks. As a side note if someone is deemed to young to enter into a legal contract or purchase alchohol,  should they really be able to make that call.
