I called nvc last night and finally got a very polite helpful rep, she explained exactly what I already suspected, when nvc requests additional documents the date that you submit those documents you get placed back at the end of the line waiting for document review all over again.

Finally we have good news case closed! This morning my wife was checking our email at 5:34am and at 5:33am we had received the email "NVC received all of the fees, forms, and documents that are required. NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL to schedule an interview appointment for you", timeline below

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. I got an email from NVC today that i need to re-upload 2 documents and i did, are we going to placed back at the end again because of it or it is applicable only when additional documents were asked to upload?

Uploaded everything on ceac website on 23rd november 2018, still waiting for them to accept our documents.

whenever calling to them for the status, says is in review. This waiting is frustrating.

The wait to review documents is 3 weeks. Its been long waiting for you. Call NVC and speak with someone ask for a supervisor they can scalate your case if its been more that 3 weeks.

Your husband speaks with a costumer representative and pretty much they just read to you the same information that you can see online when you check your case. Like I said ask them that you want to speak with the supervisor this person can do much more about your case. good luck

From what the rep stated, you get placed at the end every time you submit a document, regardless if for a new additional document or a re-upload document, the event happens when clicking submit documents. Although I'm not positive if what she said is exactly is true, because when we received the notice to upload my divorce decree for my stepson when they reviewed his documents, my stepdaughter had not been reviewed yet so I also uploaded the decree to my stepdaughters petition at same time. The following day my stepdaughters documents were reviewed and all documents approved case closed, so obviously my uploading and submitting the additional document 11 days after I uploaded her other documents did not reset us in the review queue. So i'm thinking it works like this, when you submit your documents it adds you to the review queue, you can add and submit more documents and you do not lose your place in the queue, however when they review your documents they take you out of the review queue so if they request additional or replacement documents once you submit the documents it adds you back into the review queue.

YAYYYY! Waiting for ours as well.

A friend who submitted on the 12th got a RFE, so, people who submitted around these dates may have CC or RFE till tomorrow.

I saw they already checked my DS 260, it says "completed". Whoo hoo!

Why NVC been so slow these days, are they trying to be USCIS. They were giving case numbers within 6 weeks till last month but from last 2 weeks things really got slowed down.

It's very disheartening but at least the USCIS stage is passed. 2 more weeks to go, hopefully they generate the case numbers by then.
