Hello everyone!

At Interview, I was given 221(g) letter to submit additional documents. My status on CEAC was ‘Refused’ after interview. 10 days ago, I submitted requested documents and today my status on CEAC is ‘Administrative Processing’.

What does it mean? Any hope?

It means they are processing your documents. Now you wait. Depending what was submitted and what they need to verify it can take weeks to months.

From what I've seen, Administrative Processing is normal in Pakistan even for approved visas, and it can take weeks or even months as mentioned above. Try to be patient.

Hi I had my employment based immigrant visa interview on 9th April 2019, CO issued 221(g). Below is a brief content of 221(g).

Further Consideration will be given to your application on submission of:

- ABC

- XYZ

You must submit the above document(s) and your passport(s) to any of the 11 document drop-off locations.

Generally we will be asked to submit passport after submitting missing documents. but here

My question is, is it a positive sign that my 221(g)  states to submit passport(s) along with the documents?? Response is highly appreciated.
