Honesty I am having fun watching MSNBC for the election coverage. They are more energetic than almost all the other networks and have more intel that I can use.

Donnelly falls in Indiana

A devastating blow to Democratic hopes of taking the US senate – businessman and former state representative Mike Braun has defeated Democratic incumbent Joe Donnelly in the Hoosier state, AP projects.

The Tennessee senate race is not looking good for the Democrats, either.

Donnelly has been losing that race ever since it was sub 1% reporting in so that doesn't surprise me at all.

Scott has won in Florida, at least that's why are calling right now.

I really think the NJ race is going to be to close to call later on even though they calling it for Menendez.

ETA:  The IRS has been auditing him for about 20 years.  Don’t you think they know what they are doing?  Or do you believe some democrat somewhere knows better than an entire government entity?  What, exactly, is your hope here???

Congrats to the democrats (likely) taking the House. After pulling out all the stops they squeeze by with 30 or so seats. I think this is actually a good thing because after 2 years of Pelosi, Waters, ect. embarassing themselves and the country and actually having power the republicans will solidify their majority in 2020 with a second term for Trump. An added bonus is the violent antifa types believe they actually had a huge victory so maybe they will tone down the violence for a bit. Nice blue wave democrats.

I started by watching ABC, then switched to PBS (no commercials), then to Fox (longest coverage).

The outcomes pretty much reverted to "normal" for midterms.

 

Big Repub gubernatorial victories in Florida, Ohio, & (surprise) Iowa.

 

Good riddance to Heitkamp & McCaskill.

Too bad about John James in Michigan, but maybe he can run against the other Dem Sen.

Hoorah for the Sen outcome in Florida.

 

Beto can now go back to stealing property from poor El Paso-area Hispanics via eminent domain.

He "did not say that he would not run for President," per an ABC or PBS reporter.  

 

Several House races were disappointing.

John Culberson (TX, 9 terms) needed to go, but by being primaried, not replaced by Pelosi's hand-picked maiden.

 

And, oh joy!  Maxine Waters will become chairwoman of the House Finance Committee!!!!!    

 

Best news is that straight-ticket voting will be outlawed in TX as of 2020.  Thanks, re-elected Gov. Abbott!

Pelosi was uncharacteristically restrained during her victory speech.

However, Nadler will chair House Judiciary.

Everyone and everything will be subpoena'd.

Let's see if they can actually legislate.

 

Oh -- and, because they got the House back, no need to riot in the streets over an "illegitimate election."
