That is not true. We did our interview and medical in London this February. You do NOT need the letter before scheduling for the interview.

Can you please  send me a link to where you went to schedule your interview please? I really have no idea what is going on! Everyone I ask including the embassy is telling me I need a letter?

Ive already been on here ..... Look at my choices to click. Im applying for the K1 Visa so assuming I tick choice 3? And it clearly says I have received a letter? Am I dumb or something? It staes clearly that to tick that box you needed to have been sent a letter?

Check #3. You do not need the letter.

Agree. This is what I did and I didn’t receive a letter. I had my interview in London 2 days ago and was approved and told that my passport will be sent to me next week with my visa inside. 

 

I’ve had a few hiccups along the way and had queries where I’ve called the embassy and been told inaccurate and inconsistent information. The website also needs updating as there are quite a few details that are out of date (i.e. the need for a letter). VisaJourney forums is where I found the most helpful and up to date info.

Hi Andrea, 

 

The info you have is totally out of date. There is no longer a readiness form. I had my interview last month in London and could book it when my case went into transit from NVC to London. You honestly need to get it booked. You won’t get a letter. Only letter I got from London was a link of how to book interview. It’s a DIY process there.

From the image you posted: 

The instruction are clear, After you attended medical examination, you need to select " I have received a letter" It is literally what instructions say. It doesn't say "you need to wait for the letter" It says you need to schedule after selecting that option.
