Has anyone here had an interview in the Detroit Field Office since they've reopened? We still haven't heard anything since ours was canceled due to Covid.

My interview was scheduled for March the 18th at Detroit Field Office. Then, I received a letter saying the interview was cancelled and to wait for further notice in the mail. I've never heard back from them in more than 4 months. I called USCIS 2-3 time during this months but they didn't have any updates for me and they didn't let me reschedule the interview by myself. March the 18th was the first day of quarantine in Michigan (lucky me) so, I suppose my interview will be one of the first ones to get rescheduled in Detroit. I'll keep you posted as soon as I know more. Good luck to everyone.

Thanks, Mark. Ours was April 13th, so I knew there'd be people ahead of us in line who are just as impatient! I've seen some examples on this site where they've skipped the interview but Detroit doesn't seem to be taking that option.

Thanks for keeping us posted! I'll be anxious to hear when you get rescheduled because we should be right behind you!

I think the main reason they didn't restart the AOS interviews yet is because they are prioritizing the naturalization processes since the presidential elections are so close. For Michigan, the deadline to register for the elections is August the 4h. I believe they are trying to finalize as many naturalizations as possible. I hope that after that date they'll resume the AOS process. Note: this is just my assumption, take it with a grain of salt.

Thank God somebody was rescheduled. Congrats! Mine was originally April 1st and still haven't heard anything.

Can I ask, did you just get a notice in the mail? Or did they update the "check your case" online as well?

Hopefully you hear soon!! We just got the interview notice in the mail. I didn't call USCIS or try to get it moved forward in any way. After we received the notice, I did check online and it was updated there too. I hadn't been checking it as regularly because I wasn't very optimistic our case was going to interview anytime soon. We had just submitted my husband's extension for ability to work.

I-130 just moved back a full year! (This is the Potomac field office)  A few weeks ago they were working on files from Nov 6th 2019. Now it says October 18th 2018. Has anyone seen the processing times go backwards a full year?

Just received my wife's rescheduled interview letter today for December 1st 2020 at the Detroit Field Office, previous scheduled interview date was March 17th 2020.

I did also file an outside normal processing request October 27th, which i have a feeling is the reason why they finally rescheduled our interview.
