Consulate Review: London, United Kingdom
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 6, 2019
Embassy Review : Another positive experience to add to the long list at the London embassy.

Same process as the others listed here. Initial long wait, then sent upstairs to a much shorter line (only 2 others) for long stay/immigration visas. Originals needed: passport, passport style photo, police certificate, birth certificate, divorce decree, affidavit of support. Medical results had arrived (we left 11 working days between appointments and got any missing immunizations during the appointment). Second window was a friendly officer who said "I want to get to lunch, I hope you made this easy for me". Questions: How did you meet? (At a bar on a night out 2 years ago) How many times have you seen each other? (7 total: 4 trips to US, 3 trips to UK) When are you going to see each other again? (She's visiting the UK in 30 days). He said, "yep, you made this easy. Approved."

Time from NOA1: 204 days
Total time in embassy: 1.5 hrs
Total time in interview: <5 minutes
Rating : Very Good

Hello, Congratulations!!! I'm in the UK too and the I-129F was filed at the end of December. Did you meet your fiancee online like I did? Because I heard that meeting them online makes an RFE more likely. Thank you and best wishes!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
