Got an update and a sign of hope for those who are stuck at nvc still after yesterday's batch. Mine was at nvc all day today and just now after checking it again I saw that it's in transit.

Mine still at NVC.... thanks for sharing.

My USC Fiancee is ready to post me her signed i-134, but she's a little unsure about what other docs she needs to post with it. :wacko:

Is it just her last W2 and her previous three pay stubs that she needs to send with the i-134 to me, or does she also have to get a account statement from her bank?

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134.

Also, do you have a P3 letter with all the requirements and documentation needed for the interview? Financials are listed in that document as well.

Yup. The shipment of cases to the Embassy occurs every other week on Tues AND Wed. So don't give up hope until such time as Thursday arrives.

Copies. You can also download an IRS transcript which is about 2-3 pages instead of the many that the 1040 is.

So the transcript can take the place of the Form 1040?

So far what I have suggested to her is:

Last Federal tax return

Last W-2

Three recent pay stubs

A bank statement is optional but helps

Do you think that's sufficient?

How to Find Out WHEN Your Case Number was Assigned

For those that don't call every single day and want to know exactly what date their case number was assigned, there's an easy way to find out that simply involves looking at your case number. The first three letters are the three-letter consulate/embassy code. The next four numbers are the year the case number was assigned. The next three numbers are the Julian date it was assigned, plus 500. And finally, the last three numbers are the sequential order of when it was assigned that date. You can find a chart with Julian dates here [10].

For example: MTL2014815162. Let's put some lines in to divide it up. So: MTL|2014|815|162. This means that this case is going through Montreal and the number was assigned on November 11th, 2014, and it was the 162nd case that day to be assigned a number.

Track your case file shipping from NVC to Embassy

Go to www.dhl.com click Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, and on this page, you add your search information. You change the day and month to what you think your package might have left NVC or call NVC to get the date your package had left NVC in route to Manila then go to the DHL website and enter the following information:

EXAMPLE:

* Shipper´s Reference: EXP 24 MAR 2011A

* Date range for shipment - From: 23 - 03 - 2011

* Date range for shipment - To: 26 - 03 - 2011

Account Number - Leave this blank

Shipment Destination: Manila / Works for any Country

http://www.dhl.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

@Greenbaum Thank you for providing the info.

 I couldn’t understand the shipper’s reference entry to be done on the DHL website , could you please tell how to fill in that?

How do you book your interview while nvc says petition is in transit? I perhaps wrongly assumed that you could only do so after receiving a letter from the embassy or something.

Different countries. Different embassies. Different processes and procedures. Some are faster. Some are slower. Some are electronic. Some use snail mail. It's a complete free for all at this point.
