For what’s worth I find it an extremely unnecessary discussion anyway, because there are more important matters than what a fee is called.

Form itself even changes according to country, for interview appointment too, for example, there are 2 different websites.

in the end, it is not called a ds-160 fee. It is visa fee, sometimes visa services fee, or as known as MRV (machine readings visa) fee. Check travelstate, embassies etc.

———

However, I understand that somebody telling you guys “trust the process” may sound condescending while you’re anxious and nervous and have thousands of question marks, however, it is just an ale for everyone meaning that it will happen eventually and that you can relax. It is not to give you an order.

This person helped everyone literally day and night, for months and months, keeping everything archived and gathering everything.

This is written communication, it’s not always how people write things, there is also a responsibility on the reader, deciding how you want to read it.

Our NOA2 arrived yesterday dated 31st august. Not the 4th sept like we were notified. i am correct in saying that this is our actual date that we received and use?

It may be a silly question i know, just wondering when to call NVC. Thanks

Mine have the same days! I’m going to start calling next week.

There is no interview fee. The fee is clearly stated everywhere as the visa application fee. You are paying to have your DS-160, the visa application, processed by the embassy, just like you pay to have your I-129f processed. You can fill out the DS-160 for free just like you can fill out the I-129f for free, but they require proof that you have payed the requisite fee before they will process the application and allow you to schedule an interview. The interview is only a part of the entire processing of the visa, but the part that you actually participate in, which is why many people erroneously call it an interview fee.  I don't see "interview fee" on ustraveldocs or the embassy website, and that phrase may confuse people and cause them to think there are other fees besides those actually listed.

Calling is one way but many have updated their email with NVC and have gotten email notification prior to the website being updated.

It's advisable to contact NVC via https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html to update your email address as well as your beneficiary's email address.

Why would they say that??? I see most cases get a case # the next day after received?
