Not sure about Ukraine, but I always use USPS for documents to Denmark. Last week, the cheapest option ($30), took 5 business days. They quoted much longer and I got text updates as it progressed through the system. (easy to setup)

And I think at least one earlier than that (but after Feb 2018).

... but I didn't read the original post completely; for documents for the petition or interview, scanning and emailing is completely fine, so do that. Scanned signatures are fine.

Do you have enough time....use the international service from USPS, but consider that it will take approximately  10 days with the express service depending where you are sending them. Another ultra expensive way is DHL, UPS or Fedex. They are also as reliable, but to me not worth the U$120 or whatever they charge by now.

 

All interview paperwork for k-1, can be just scanned and emailed. Been there done that. Save your money. I was even at the interview and originals are not even required. Not even wet signature is required for k-1. Any more questions...just PM or post here :)

10/24/2018                EAD in hand. F%^&& finally

12/28/2018                Interview has been scheduled. Waiting for notification with date by snail mail

I used USPS Global Express to ship my I-864 to my spouse in Taiwan.  It cost me about $70.00, but it was delivered in 5 business days.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

I've had good luck with USPS sending post cards, but not packages.  Since then, I've used Meest which has been fairly reliable (one package got caught in customs for a couple of months inbound to the US) but it's quite slow - roughly 1 month door-to-door.

 

I think I'll look into FedEx for the documents this time around.  Thanks for the input folks.

Just a follow-up, FedEx took just over a week to ship to Ukraine and I had excellent tracking the entire time.  But I did have to pay $111 to get them there.  My total package weight was around 5 ounces or 140 grams.

 

Also, I wound up shipping to an alternate location in a bigger city, as they didn't seem to allow me to ship to small villages.  Maybe I just didn't push hard enough.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Just an FYI.  Years ago I sent important documents to Russia usin DHL, twice.   Always much better prices than FedEx.  They also guaranteed a delivery date.

 

Funny, but they quoted 4 day delivery and both times it took at least a week.  I complained about their "4 day guarantee" and both times they refunded my money.

 

Free shipping.  I'll bet they dropped the delivery guarantee.
