Agreed...if you want to be married together, then I suggest just doing so. The USC can then send an I-130 to start the CR-1 visa process. Be sure to have/gather/present additional evidence of a bona fide marriage.

Hello everyone.. I went through my k1 visa interview yesterday in Mumbai consulate.. He asked me inappropriate questions from me.. He asked me about my wedding cards, hall receipts, lists of guests etc ,that I hadnt at that time to show him..  I answered him when I got the visa, I will book my ticket as soon as possible, once I reached there we will get the earliest date ND will get married..  Already my fiance has found some halls for our wedding ceremony.. But he wasn't satisfied from my answer..  He handed over 221 g refusal letter.. It shows that they want us to show more proofs to show our relationship is genuine...

Please help to what's the meaning of this letter...  I'm so worried...

Again.....let me ask once again....what was inappropriate about the questions? What were the questions and how did you answer? Just because you do not like the question doesn’t make it “inappropriate”...,

Once I got the visa ,as soon as possible once I reached there, my fiance will book the hall before reach me over there.. He was stuck on this question..  Why not u booked it,  show me any receipt of ur wedding dress,  guests just,  cards,  vendors name etc..  Exactly these things has written in my refusal letter to show...

As far as I understand, they still give you a chance to submit those documents, so why not to work on them now and submit them in due time?

Yeah as far as I know, a 221g is not a refusal letter, but something stating they need that information requested before they can move on. My fiance got a 221g paper because her exam hadnt arrived at the consulate because she only did it 2 days before the interview. So they told us that the exam will be sent to the consulate and she will have the 221g to submit her passport once they get those documents and she is ready to get her visa, as we were approved. So I don't think it's a refusal.

Those are not inappropriate questions. There’s only so much planning you can do for a wedding on a K1. However, from the likes of it he just wasn’t satisfied with the evidence you had to show you are a bonafide couple. You didn’t get denied. You were just requested more evidence. Gather as much as you to show you two are a real couple and send it to the embassy.

My letter says.. Ur visa application has been refused under sec 221 g. Coz it is incomplete.. We required more evidence of relationship between u and ur petitioner...

It means they want you to send in more proof. There should be a location listed to send off more proofs of relationship.
