Is this the normal process?

My fiancé (American) filed our k1 visa application in October and it was accepted in early November. I was under the impression that it would take 6-7 months total. It’s now been almost 7 months and our status hasn’t changed. Neither of us have heard anything. The website just says case accepted. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

Your timeline says "Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between May 8, 2018 and May 11, 2018*. ", so hopefully they'll take a look at your file relatively soon!

I wouldn’t worry since you’re probably not far  outside of normal processing times...we have been waiting 320 days (and still nothing despite plenty of inquiries and contacting my congresswoman) so don’t worry just yet!

Come join the rest of your October filers in this thread. there are almost daily updates about how many cases are being processed. They are working on October right now, but still a lot of cases to process. Be patient!

Ehm.... I just read Texas.. Sorry :D

It’s california, all k1 goes to California. People put Texas there because they send to Dallas lockbox but it always goes to California.

Yes...no RFE. The only delay we know of seems to be related to security checks which I’ve been told have been pending since January
