Did you see any kids inside?

I am going to Newark today we will have to bring my 4 year old. Can I bring in his ipad game?

How was parking?

How was the wait?

(Oops sorry for all the questions haha)

I did not see any kids. If there is an ipad inside, i believe it will have to be on silent. Once in the interview room, I believe it would have to be off.

We parked in a lot a block away which was $17 a day.

Our interview was about 40 minutes delayed. Once it started, it ended in about 25 to 30 minutes.

All the best! :)

Thanks and congrats to you.

I think you will get the card in under 2 weeks normally.

Today I had my AOS (Green Card) Interview in Newark. On my drive home I received a message saying that my case status has been updated; the update was that "New Card is Being Produced". Just to confirm, this means we were approved right ? Anyone know how long before the Card is actually shipped once the Card is in production?

Had our interview last week thursday...got my card today! Yay!

Hey April filers!

I'm a March filer and had my interview 22nd January. New Orleans. Approved on the spot! Had the nicest lady interviewing us. That's south for you. Super friendly!

Anyway, my card arrived in the mail exactly a week after my interview! 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Showed bank statements, phone contract, vet bill, health insurance with my husband, car membership, photos of our wedding

Wasnt asked for anything in particular,, just if I'd like to show anything to her. So I handed these.

Good luck to yall waiting!

Received a notice my case is being held for review.

I am very frustrated with this result. We have one child and our second is coming in 3 weeks, we have been together since end 2012 when we met. I am not sure why this case would not be easy to approve.

I don't expect any issues but don't want to deal with waiting either. 🤬🐒😠💋

Even our case was our case was held for review when we left the interview. But we received the card in production update within an hour after the interview.

Maybe it is more common than I thought. I did not receive any other update except I received an SMS update that said the same thing, the case is under review.

And now back to waiting 😵

I just grabbed all of my papers to find out that i have either forgot to copy or misplaced my submitted forms I-485, I-765 & I-131. I have all reciept notices, interview notice etc but cannot for the life of me find the documents i submitted at time of applying for AOS. Have EAD & AP card in hand. I know USCIS wants all original documents that were sent off so what do i do now?! Panicking big time!

I'm sure you will be fine. A lot of people I've spoken to said they didn't even look at those documents, it's just a precautionary.

If anything, I would just fill out another one of those forms if need be to have it there.

aside from IDs & interview notice letter, the only other things we showed them in the interview were evidence (photos, joint lease, etc) and a copy of the overseas medical. that was it! don't worry, you'll be fine :)

I panicked for the same reason...thought of re doing the forms . Luckily my hus and said dont. They never asked for anything we sent them already...not even my sons birth cert. Just wanted to verify original marriage cert. Wanted copies of joint assets and pictures. Thats it!

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there's anyone missed their interview and successfully rescheduled it? Any suggestions are highly appreciated!

Here is what happened. On Nov. 12th, the website showed that the interview is scheduled so we had been patiently waiting for the notice. Nothing had come so we called USCIS several times. The customer service told us that the notice had not been mailed out yet. On Jan. 29th, we finally got the notice saying the interview is schedule on Jan. 16th. Apparently, the field office didn't put the apartment number so the notice was returned to USCIS. We didn't show up on our interview. 😫

After that, we contacted USCIS and they sent the field office to reschedule our interview. The field office sent us an email requesting the evidence and written letter for the reason why the interview needs to be rescheduled. We did so and send the mail to the field office.

The question is now, what can we do to get the interview rescheduled as soon as possible? It seems that no infopass is allowed from the website anymore...

Please share if you have similar experiences. Thank you in advance!

I'm sorry you're going through that! It's clearly not your fault. I'm sure they will reschedule. If it happens that they think your evidence is not enough or refuse to schedule a new interview, I would contact Congressman/Senator/Ombudsman and ask for their help. USCIS says all their calls are recorded, so you can use that too... saying you called before asking for the date and no one has informed you. But I'm sure you won't need to get to that point.

You mentioned the Office is not taking any appointments, but in your case I think I would try a walk-in and see what happens. They might refuse to let you in but at least you tried.

Just gotta be patient now (I know... We're done with patience here! But hang in there!) and wait for a new interview date. This wasn't your fault so they will have to reschedule. I don't see why they wouldn't.

Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes! :)
