My wife's immigration is finally complete, here are a few last items we experienced.

Online completion time estimate.    The time listed is always complete nonsense,  during the entire wait it would change all over the place.   Right up to the end, after the interview was scheduled, it changed to "14 months to complete".  For you own sanity, do not pay any attention  to it.

I really don't think it is linked, but her interview did get assigned one week after we uploaded our tax returns to the case.

Interview was in morning with quick access through security (Tukwila office) .   However when she left, before lunch, there was a line of 30 people to get in.      With the COVID rules of only entering 15 mins before your appointment, I suggest you don't wait in your car the entire time and check the line.

Interview was with an in-person officer that conducted everything while she was in the room:  interview, test (civics, reading, writing) and oath.    Entire elapse time about 40 mins.   She walked out with her paper and flag.    She was asked not asked for any documents (she had an entire backpack full). we did upload tax returns to the USCIS account this year.

In order to take your oath, you must sign form N-445, with 8 questions included:  has Marriage changed,  new travel outside USA, any new crimes not arrested, any crimes you were arrested including traffic,  did you become a communist or terrorist, deserted from Military, change in willingness to bear arms,  one question the combines all the moral turpitude items from the N-400.     It is a bit silly in this case as not more the 10 minutes before the questions were asked as the N-400 was just reviewed.   It is a reminder that procedure is procedure.

Also of note the next morning, she got an email from her USCIS account that there was an important issue with her case.  This was nothing more then the posting of the scheduled oath appointment (that she already did) and showing the status the case is closed.

The amusing irony. I just got home from work and waiting for me 12hrs after my file was updated and interview scheduled I got home… to a summons for Jury Duty.

🤦🏼‍♀️

Technically as of NOW I’m not eligible but my date is after my interview. When I I’ll be if successful.

I had the same thing!

I let the jury office know I wasn't a citizen yet so couldn't participate (I had no real way of knowing if the interview process would be problem-free).

Within two weeks of my successful interview I got a new notice. That new summons, frustratingly, conflicts with an upcoming vacation, so it's now rescheduled for early next year.

Me - London, England, Him - Seattle, USA, First met - September 2015 @ Walt Disney World, Florida
September 2015 to 2016 - 65,000 miles flown between us as we did the LDR thing / 28th Nov 2016 - Married at the Space Needle in Seattle
29th Nov 2016 - Concurrent filing of I-130, I-485, I-765 & I-131 sent to Chicago
13th Jan 2017 - Biometrics / 3rd March 2017 - EAD/AP card arrived

14th Sept 2017 - Interviewed at Seattle local office. Card production status updated 6hrs later!
21st Sept 2017 - LPR / Green Card arrived in the mail (via USPS Priority Mail)
20th June 2019 - I-751 Filed to Arizona / 29th June 2019 - NOA1 mail/written confirmation arrived with 18 month extension; LIN/Nebraska case number
15th Nov 2019 - Biometrics taken / 19th May 2020 - New 10-Yr Card Being Produced / 22nd May 2020 - 10 Year Card received in the mail!

17th June 2020 - Submitted N-400 online, estimated case completion August 2021 (Biometrics reuse letter
received Dec 2020)

11th August 2021 - Interview notification received / 28th September 2021 - Interviewed & Naturalized at Seattle FO

Yeah I called and left the jury coordinator a voicemail and she said the qualification is date if service not summons so she said to reschedule online to the spring and then if I’m not a citizen at that time to just call and let them know by 7 days prior.

which is good because my service date currently is 2 days before my birthday and during my Christmas vacation. 😣

I just got a notification this morning that my interview is scheduled for Dec! I filed on 8/3/2020. Looks like things are moving along. :)

My estimated complete time was 7 months yesterday, and now that I received my interview schedule it jumped to 13 months... Just don't take that estimate seriously.

Congratulations @nyahchen
