Seems too easy, just want to make sure I'm not leaving anything out before I mail it off.

1. N-400.

2. Check.

3. Copy of green card.

4. Copy of marriage certificate.

Not overseas, so no photos needed, and the military service part doesn't apply.

And that's all that's needed to send, right?

First of all, you should file online. (many people on VJ have shared that it's faster by a few months, including myself)

I submitted all you mentioned and our tax records of 2014, 2015.

During the citizenship interview, the IO asked for our tax record of 2016 and took the deeds of our house (both of our names are on it).

At the 3 year mark you need to provide marriage evidence, thus tax records.

Ah.  It specifies marriage certificate in the instructions, so that's what I sent.

A lot of people shared that if you submit marriage evidence with your application, there's a bigger chance that you'd get approved at the interview (recommended for approval).

You're still required to bring evidence to the interview to show that your marriage is solid, and often times the IO will need to examine these documents after the interview, and therefore would take some extra time for your case to be approved.

Hi there,

maybe you had to send the translation of the marriage certificate ?

Anyways, they will probably ask you at the interview to show some documents.

Have some pictures of your wife and you (wedding.. etc..) and all documents showing a life in common.

Bank statements, insurance contracts, lease or lawn, utility bills, tax returns filed jointly etc....

It's better to have an official translation any document written in a foreign language.

Good luck with your naturalization.

Why did you two submit photos and tax records?

ONE PHOTO IS NEEDED. IT IS ATTACHED TO THE NATURALIZATION CERTIFICATE. ( IF THEY DID NOT CHANGE IT). TAX RETURNS WILL PROVED THAT YOU ARE DOING YOUR LEGAL DUTIES (IF WORKING) AS A LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT.

GOODLUCK,

NELMA

Maybe your info is old? I went off the N-400 instructions:

Required Evidence
Below is a list of documents to submit with your Form N-400.
1. Photographs. Only applicants who reside overseas must provide two identical color photographs of yourself taken
recently. The photos must have a white to off-white background, be printed on thin paper with a glossy finish, and
be unmounted and unretouched. Passport-style photos must be 2” x 2”. The photos must be in color with full face,
frontal view on a white to off-white background. Head height should measure 1” to 1 3/8” from top of hair to bottom
of chin, and eye height is between 1 1/8” to 1 3/8” from bottom of photo. Your head must be bare, unless contrary to
your religious beliefs. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print your name and A-Number (if any) on the back of the
photo.
2. Photocopy of Permanent Resident Card. Provide a photocopy of the front and back of your Form I-551 (Permanent
Resident Card). USCIS must be able to read the information on the photocopy. If you have lost your Form I-551,
attach a photocopy of any other entry document or a photocopy of a receipt showing that you have filed Form I-90,
Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card.
3. Photocopy of your Current Legal Marital Status Document. Provide a photocopy of your current marriage
certificate, divorce, annulment decree, or death certificate of former spouse.
4. Documents for Military Personnel or Spouses of Military Personnel: (no longer applies for me)

And that was all they listed.  Lots of stuff listed after to bring to the interview.

Is a house deed considered an evidence? We only have 1 joint saving account and wanted to support it with a house deed where both our names appear.

Yep! My IO took my house deed  and tax records and told me that’s good enough. He didn’t even look at other stuff such as insurance documents, trips records or joint accounts.
