Hey y'all!  I'm new here; details posted above :D.  I was eligible to apply for naturalization about a year ago but had to delay the submission of my N-400 as I was studying in France from September-January (my only absence from the US since GC).  I'm a Canadian citizen.

 

About my immigration journey: I'll be getting my bachelor's degree in the US in December 2018, and will be continuing on to graduate school after that.  I'm hoping to eventually go for a Ph.D in the US (and live here indefinitely beyond that), but in the mean time there's only one funded MA program (philosophy/logic!) that I know of; the other options are in Vancouver and Amsterdam, which is why I need to make sure I can leave for >6 months before (at very latest) September 2019.

 

But ideally I want to do a bit of post-undergrad travelling, and maybe get a working holiday visa in Europe, from Dec 2018/Jan 2019 to September 2019.  I can do all that on my Canadian passport, but whether I can leave for longer than six months out of the year will depend on how long it takes to be naturalized.  I had never travelled before studying abroad (besides the move from Canada as a youngun) at the end of last year, but now I'm filled with stereotypical dreams of backpacking on a shoestring budget...

 

Anyway, it's lovely to meet you all!

That's awesome! Nothing like playing the waiting game!

 

I just realized this morning I hadn't set up the e-mail and mobile alerts. My case status says they sent out the NOA and my biometrics appointment is scheduled. How long after they scheduled your biometrics did you get your appointment letter? My work schedule is already made and I need to know if I have to change a shift around.

thanks for re-organizing the table in sequence and good luck with your PhD application. fyi, I finished my phd in 2013 and never wanna re-do it.

Hi everyone,
Thank you all for keeping this thread updated, especially the person who initially made this. 
This shows so much hope and is a great help to figure how the processing is going on for N400. I will be filing in last week of  March 2018 at field office Chicago, IL. I will update here as soon as I file my N400.

If here’s nothing barring you, I advice you to submit your application online. The processing is a little faster that way.
