i checked the EAD approval notice and saw this:

"if you have pending or approved form I-140 and pending form I 485, you may request to change employers if your form I-485 has been pending for at least 180 day.

can anyone explain this to me please.. does that mean that once i got a job i should not change employer if my AOS is still pending? even if it is part time? thank you so much

Not relevant its information for i-140 individuals. Your EAD you can work for anyone as its i485c9.

Yes, and i had an old visa/work rights tied to specifically employer if I did an i-140 and was accepted I could then change employers as well.

For those who have already received their EAD in hand, how was it packaged? In a USPS Priority Mail envelope or the normal USCIS envelope? Were you able to track it via the USPS Informed Dilevery daily digest of mails coming to you? I see three mails from USCIS but I’m expecting just two approval letters from my EAD and AP. I don’t know about the third envelope though all three envelopes are of the same size.

I only got two mails per Informed Delivery digest last Saturday and that were the two approvals to 765 and 131 case. Normally the card would be priority mail envelope and appears as a package from what I learned in other's posts.

With that being said, hopefully the third envelop is a request to appear for interview for you!

the uscis and the dhs site appears to be broken.  I can't rely on this site for updates anymore.  It is frustrating.  For the amount of money i paid for the application fee, I expect better service from them.

Hello guys,

First of all congrats to everyone who has received an update.  We also have good news on our end.  I just logged into my hubby's DHS account and found an update on EAD today 6/29/18 "We are producing your cared and will mail it to you".  Thank God....I pray that you all hear soon but it really looks that things are moving along for us February filers!!!:jest:

Hey guys,

So my husband's approval letter came in the mail today dated 6/28/18.  DHS site also changed sometime during the day, it has the approval status show there now.  Thank God.  I will keep you posted.  Good luck guys.

Hey man!

Whats in the 3rd mail?

We’re quite excited to know about it.

Hey man, the third envelope was the AP Application Notice of Receipt (NOA1). When USCIS received my AP case file, they erroneously put my home address instead of mailing address on the NAO1 which made me to put in a SR for change of address. And since both the EAD and AP combine together to form what’s now called COMBO CARD, they had to update my address and issue a new one with my mailing address. So that’s it!
