Just got back from getting a few groceries and quarters for laundry. :D Picked up the mail and I got my biometrics notice. I have to head to the Denver office on January 25th to get biometrics done. :) Another step closer.

That's a great news! Things are really moving fast, I am happy for you :) . I read you got your Colorado driver's license with your NOA1 too. I hope that will be the case here in Atlanta also,  cos I can't wait to get my license :(

I really hope so. I hate that DMV's in every state are so different. :( Some of my friends here can't get theirs until they get their EAD. I consider myself very lucky.

Hi everyone,

here is my timeline:

I sent my package on December 28th, 2017 to Chicago via USPS priority mail. They delayed my package for some days and was finally delivered on January 7th, 2018 which was a Sunday (will not use them again for such sensitive matters)  my AOSEAD, AP, and petitioner's I-130 application.

The following supporting documents were included:

Affidavit of support (Form I-864), marriage certificate, tax return, joint account doc, pictures, affidavit from brother-in-law, pay-stubs, joint health insurance, birth certificates, passport page, I-94 record, visa page, SSN doc, driver's licence and passport photographs.

***Did not submit the Medical form I-693***

January 11, Received email and text messages yesterday by 11.47pm that my application have been accepted and routed to the National Benefits Center. (MSC). That will be Missouri..

Hopefully the I-797 notice will arrive in my mailbox anytime from now.

Here in Washington state you can get one without all that, as long as you can prove your identity. They need a lot of things to prove your identity though.

Hey Guys!

Sent Aos on : 01/10/2018

Recieved in Chicago: 01/11/2018

Quick question, I didn’t send in Ap/ I-131 but I sent in I-765. I read where the ap & EAD is now joined together so will my husband be able to re enter the country if he travels abroad?

No, you have to submit the I-131, his EAD card will come with a marking ‘NOT VALID FOR RE-ENTRY TO U.S.’

I was able to get my drivers license with my NOA1 in Vermont as well. I did not expect it though after 2 different people told me that I could not get a driver license with a validity longer than my I-94, which expires at the beginning of February. I was extremely lucky that the third person I talked to was familiar with the K1 rules, checked the DMV manual and found that the I-797C form from the AOS or EAD application (NOA1) is considered proof of lawful status for a K1 and he was able to give me a licence that is valid for two years.

Best of luck!
