CSC filer here. I believed in the Law of averages, we will get it 12-14 months just like the rest eventually. No biometric yet but not too worried. We will get our 10 yr GC soon. LIVE more and worry less 😀

When did you file?have you called UsCIS yet?

i haven’t. Like what you’ve said....LIVE more and worry less....

Filed jan 2, NoA Jan 4th. Have not tried to touchbase with them. I feel by calling and inquiring the status of my case that it would add unnecessary burden to a system that is already overloaded. Anyways we are legal during the whole process until they tell us so. So no need to be waiting.. it will come when least expected 😀

ROC package sent on 01/30/18 to Vermont. Notice dated 02/08/18. Biometrics appointment for 03/26/18.

FYI - USCIS told me that it can take up to 2-3 months to receive the biometrics letter, if you ever receive it (sometimes you don't because no need of new fingerprints). So we just need to wait.

Thanks for the update, congrats on making it to the Jan list haha, can I have your NOA received on hand date? The day that you got it in mailbox? :)

Quick update on CA Drivers license.

They sent me a notice in the post to say it would be expiring soon and I need to send them a copy of the evidence that extends my legal stay. I sent them a copy of my extension letter, and yesterday got a new driver's license in the post that is valid through April 2021!

The inconsistencies are truly baffling, but I am not complaining  that I don't have to do it again for another few years.

K1 Journey - 5 months and 1 day

AOS Journey - 4 months 4 days

ROC Filed - Jan 30 2018

ROC Delivered - Feb 1 2018

NOA date - Feb 7 2018

Conditional Green Card expires April 26 2018.

That is very nice of them, and very nice that CA actually sent you notice. In GA it will be a problem as they only renew to the expiry date. I'll be hopping in DMV this week and update the rests about it.

Looking through a few other forums I found a post that says that the USCIS has updated their processing times pages as shown below.  Here's the link:  https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/  Unfortunatley, CSC is looking at 17.5 to 19 months for Removal of conditions with VSC around 12 to 15.5 months.  Local field offices are in the 21.5-46 month range.

For those interested there is a USCIS webinar talking about processing times that starts at 3pm EST today, March 22nd.  I'll try and jump on while at work, if it will allow me, and post a summary here.  Here's the link for anyone that wants to listen in:  https://uscisconnect.connectsolutions.com/r2gmbe1a0ec/

Which application are you asking about?  This forum is for removal of conditions, form I-751.  Here is a detailed guide on what you will need for this application:

I understand that people would like their cases to move faster, but everyone calling USCIS is not helping your cause. You can easily check different sources, within VisaJourney and outside this site, where you can verify that the process is relatively longer and delayed. Coming into this site every day is not going to calm your nerves. Relax people, if you are coming to this site for information you are already ahead of the curve as most people make a lot of misinformed decisions in their applications. You will be fine, just be patient.

Latest information from USCIS says that I-751 applicants for CSC are between 17.5 to 19.0 months.

Some of you may remember 14,400 baud rate dial up Internet. It was way back in the early 90's, but it was the fastest thing going.

By comparison, the 70 Mbs internet speed that I currently enjoy is almost 5,000 faster, and allows me to stream movies. Things are very quick these days, thanks to modern technology, digitalization, etc. USCIS seems to be stuck back in the 14k Baud rate, without reason. Also remember, it is the squeaky wheel that gets greased. USCIS receives in total over 2.2 million petitions of different types annually. So long as those of us who are required to pass through their gauntlet and waiting game sit by quietly, there is No Incentive for them to streamline their system. Further, if I go to a restaurant (that requires me to pay for my meal in advance), and I watch for hours as others come, pay, are served, eat their meal, and go . . . while I sit at my empty table, I am going to get a bit grumpy. If after inquiring of the waiter, 'What's taking so long?', he informs me that perhaps my meal will arrive next week; Then I am going to be a bit MORE than just grumpy.

While I realize that 'Time Marches On', and sunrise follows sunset, etc... And I could just go about my daily life and be 'surprised' when as if by magic, our petition is approved and all is well... I am unable to synchromesh that quietly into the gears of my heart and mind. All of my working life has had schedules, fluxuating workloads, deadlines, sudden demands for overtime, innovation, and pulling the occasional rabbit out of my hat to get the job done.

Excuses are like arm-pits . . . everybody has a couple and they usually stink. I am not geared towards 'hurry up and wait'. It is inexcusable, and unacceptable. The status-quo needs to be updated... This is ridiculous.

The main thing is that, despite the unease (believe me, I feel it too and I would love to have that 10 year Green Card and then, a US Passport in my hands right now) we still get to keep on living and working as "normal" here in the US with I-797. I was expecting there to be issues, but my GC expired yesterday and I'm still at work and still getting paid, and I was approved for a mortgage with my I-797 and expiring GC. Now, trying to book an InfoPass statement to get my I-551 stamp if things take longer than a year... now that might stress me out haha!

I think we simply do have to keep moving forward as if everything  will work out because, unless they have a reason to deport us, we really should be fine in the end.

A common thread from Jan 2018 filers who applications went to the CSC is that hardly any one has received biometrics appts.

I wanted to share that since I was (and still are) experiencing chronic issues updating my address with the I-751 (see my other thread), I made an Infopass appt to try to clear up the issue...unsuccessfully, but my wife was able to get her code 3 biometrics taken right there as a walk-in. Maybe it'll speed things up, maybe not. Has anyone done something similar?
