Congrats California filers. Seems like VSC has stopped working on I-751 all together - I have not seen a single approval in the OCT-DEC17 threads recently....🤔

We scanned in some items (marriage license, green card, extension letters), others we downloaded and saved as PDFs (statements etc) was very easy to complete the form online and upload the docs!

Hi everyone. I was following this website a long time ago and just found out this room today. I sent my ROC on Jan 2"18 got 12 months and 18 months extention letters as well. my case is still pending since Apr 9 online update said " case was received at my local office". It made me very suprise for some case on Dec or Jan from California already approved but Vermont.

When I went to USCIS website and checked the processing time for i751, it show California slower than Vermont?

By the way I have 2 of my friends, one sent on Jun"17 another one sent on Jul"17 to Vermont office and they waited almost 1 and a half year to get their 10 year card in hands exactly the processing time at Vermont office I saw on website 15.5 - 18.5 months. So I think who is Jan"18 file will be get approve around June.

So we were working on finishing up the filing for the N400 tonight, while were we on the internet we got an email with a status update for our I-751. We went and checked on the USCIS website and it looks like our application got approved and a card is being produced (see screenshot below). My spouse never went for biometrics and we did not go in for interview.

I applied online in December, and I really appreciated the system. You can add as many evidentiary documents as you want, they just have to be under 6mb each.  It is easy to upload and delete documents as needed, and all of the letters they send you via snail mail are also available for download from your USCIS account, which is updated immediately (which was not the case for my I-751).  Also, I've read that if you receive and RFE, you can upload the information directly to your account.

Do you guys think is a good idea to do service request about the i751 taking longer for some of us?

I know 🙁, that’s why I’m doubting it to do it or not , but at the same time I feel like I should check since some people is already getting approved.. I’m so stressed thinking the worse about why some people get approved fast and others don’t 😓

There are a myriad of reasons, known and unknown to us. Some make sense and some don't as why people get approved and others don't despite filing on the same day/week.

It's like some of us are just waiting in a left-hand turning lane at a stop light: our turn will come eventually, even though the guys to the right of us get to go and we still have to sit and wait for that dumb, green arrow despite the fact that we are all going the same direction.

Keep your chin up and don't stress! I know it's easier said than done but hey you've made it this far without delays or RFE's (right?). You'll go nuts if you start comparing. Keep yourself busy. Prepare for citizenship if you guys will be pursuing that, watch funny cat or cake decorating vids on youtube (of which I do/did both), do a paint-by-numbers! I spent 2 hours last Saturday scanning docs and making them pdf's to be ready for when we are done with taxes. I'm more impatiently tapping my foot for my husband's job to send out the w2's like "come ooooooooooon bros!" than I am for this process.

Keep moving forward with your life as best as you can. Immigrations will eventually catch up! :)   Call them for a status update if you want but you'll probably get a cookie-cutter response and be back a square one. We are in this together and remember you aren't the only one!
