I was wondering on late walk-in but I did a multiple search on forums, MOST people get denial for not attending the biometrics appointment after they came back from vacation. That's definitely not what I'm expecting, so I guess I'll just hold it

Thank you for the advise of Vietnamese passport renewal, however I will be using US passport and the visa exemption that I bought for $120 at an agent.

I believe that they will not deny our application right after we miss the biometric appointment. I have read a thread that a person walked-in few weeks late and the ASC worker told him that it is fine to do a walk-in up to 3 months late than the scheduled date. It sounds kinda risky but it is fine for just 2,3 weeks late. If you are still worried, make an infopass and say that you never received any biometric letter, they will make a new one

Apologies if this was already asked earlier. It seems the removal of conditions process will take a very long time. I am eligible to apply for citizenship in 9 months (2 years and 9 months after my initial green card was issued for spousal green cards). Is it possible to apply for citizenship while the removal of conditions on my green card is still in process?

Yes, you can!  Your USC application (N-400) may get processed sooner than your ROC!  I have seen some cases get processed as soon as 4 months!  But it can be closer to 6 months, I believe.  You will get your ROC and USC interview merged into one.  Some have said that the USC application during ROC slows down the process, but I haven't seen evidence of that based on my snooping around other VJer's profiles.

 

Remember - you may be eligible to file your N-400 online.  We plan on going this route!

Happy Sunday everyone! We received my husband's biometrics letter yesterday, it is dated 1/5/18 and the appointment is for 1/26/17. We live in NJ and the USCIS office we were scheduled for is in Elizabeth, NJ.

Quick question to the ones that have done early walk-ins: how do I know if an office takes early walk-ins? I tried looking up this info in the USCIS website but didn't see any about walk-ins; we will be traveling on the day of the appointment and would like to do an early walk-in if possible if not then we just have to re-schedule.

Interesting info in regard to biometrics 

also theres another topic I read awhile back but I can’t find.  This applicant who didnt receive their biometrics letter (which USCIS claim have sent), missed their appointment, and very unfortunately had to start a new 751 submission.

 

this bio letter is very worrisome.
