hello all i got my approval 10/30 what's  next someone knows how much time this will take to schedule an interview

4-5 months

Next

USCIS will send your application to NVC and by end of nov, they should received it and then NVC will send you a welcome letter but you can call them and get the invoice number and case number. You need this to do D-261 and then pay AOS fee and IV fee. Meanwhile, you need to fill out I-864 and gather your tax transcript and employment letter and also gather other supporting documents like police clearance, beneficiary birth certificate , beneficiary Passport, marriage certificate. Then you send to NVC and also fill out D-260 online. After NVC received all those, in 6-11 weeks they will case complete and send to embassy. And Embassy will issue an interview date.

I just got NOA2 on Oct. 26 so I am waiting for the NVC to receive it.  After I get the case number and IIN can I go ahead and send the packages? Or do I have to wait until I pay the fees and fill out the DS-260?

Just called the NVC and they said my case has been moved to the review department but hasn’t reviewed yet. Hoping that I won’t get a checklist. SD September 13.

it takes like 4-5 days to review in the review department.

I just called the NVC and got my Case # and IIN. But the operator told me to wait 3 weeks until the online portal becomes available for me to start the next step. Does it really take that much time?

P.S   I just signed in to NVC website using my case number and IIN. Should i start my application?

Wow! My approval was 10/25/2017 Potomac as well but NVC does not have my file yet. Good for you. I will keep calling
