Comments : Very smooth, not much people at the CBP counters so I went in straight to the counter and got processed by an officer who only asked who filed for me and then took finger prints and a photo then asked me to wait for another officer to come take me to an inner room where I waited for like 15 to 20 mins in line before they called me and gave me my passport with endorsement near the visa and the stamp has both the date of arrival and IR1. No questions asked and that is it.

Embassy Review : So my interview went on as scheduled, got there at about 6.30 for 7am appointment and finally got called for proper interview around 8.30am.

She asked: Who is filling for me, how we met, where and when we met, if I've traveled outside Jamaica before (she went further asking me to say where I've traveled to), she asked how often I visit my wife and she visits. It was pretty straight forward questions you should know and nothing out of the ordinary. Then she asked for my AOS and its supporting financial documents (Since my case was expedited straight to Consular few weeks after it got USCIS sent it to NVC, I didn't send any document to NVC.

She is the only on of the 3 COs that has her speakers loud and everyone could hear her in the sitting hall lol. She didn't ask for any pics or anyother supporting docs to

Yes they kept all my documents including my passport, they gave me back the original birth and marriage certificates and kept the copies. I got a call later in the evening from the hospital clerk and she confirmed that my medicals has been sent to the embassy. So hopefully they will look at it today and complete the administrative processing by next week.

It was really short as she was busy looking at the documents and arranging them accordingly while she passes knowledge to an intern (or a newbie). You shouldn't worry yourself that much. If you front-loaded your pics and proof of relationship evidence when you filed I-130 petition then they may not ask for any additional supporting document. The CO that interviewed me didn't ask for any pic or documents because I could see she has them in my file already.

After the interview, she said all looks good so far but they will have to wait for my medicals before making a decision (I only did my medicals exactly last a week before my interview and since then, we got into christmas holidays, work only resumed in Jamaica a day before my interview). In Jamaica, the hospital sends the medicals directly to the Consular office.

Hope this will help, feel free to ask any further questions.

Hello! Hope all is well. Can you please explain how/why you were able to expedite your case? Thank you!!

@jscs1218 my wife and kids lives in Miami where hurricane Irma devasted the city in October that year so as my case was pending at NVC, I wrote them an email requesting for expedition on the grounds of natural disaster. The immediately forwarded my request to Kingston embassy who approved it and NVC immediately transferred my case to Kingston and interview was scheduled in less than a week. Hope this helps.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
