Embassy Review : My wife was scheduled for 7 am, she reached the embassy at 6 am. the gates were not open at that time. Around 6:30, the gates were opened and she told me there was no organized way of lines so it was first come first serve thing so everyone ran in an uncivilized manner to get the first spot. Finally she reached the spot after security checks to get the token for the shuttle which is 1000 rs. Shuttle takes you to the main embassy building. there you have to wait for your number to come on the appropriate window. the first window was for her to show her passport, original Nikah nama, English translation, and they give back everything and after that they will call you again for the second window, here they will ask for the passport, appointment letter and 2 pictures 2x2, they will give back passport and take finger prints, then in third window, you will give your passport, medical results, original Nikah nama and birth certificate, they will keep all that and put it in the folder for the CO. then the fourth and final window is for the main interview with the CO.

CO asked the following questions to my wife:
Who is calling you?
Where and when did you guys meet?
How was the marriage got decided? she said by phone
Is your husband your cousin?
what does he do for work?
have you traveled outside from Pakistan?

CO didn't ask for any evidence or pictures. CO just said you are approved and you will get your passport in 10 days.

She said CO was the only person who was respectful, other local people working there were rude and the whole process was stressful and chaos.

Hopefully they make it easy and civilized for the many people coming there for interview.

P.S One person is allowed to accompany the applicant to embassy in the shuttle. that person should carry his/her NIC to get the ticket. it will be preferred not to go because they are not allowed too enter the main area. plus there are no sheds or seats available there so better to stay in the first building so you don't have to stand in the sun and pay 100 rupees.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
