Hello guys I went to uscis office today to get passport stamp . Lady was nice she told me I can apply for n400 but it will delay the case lil bit 😑 now don’t know what to do 😕

Personally I would file your N-400.  I know the processing times in every office are different but for my wife, I believe it helped to speed the process up.

It took 4 months from the online filing of the N-400 to the oath ceremony.  Of course your mileage may vary.  Good luck!

They told us that too. We filed online in March 2018 for Citizenship (March 2017 for I-751) and my husband’s Oath Ceremony is September 26, 2018. I absolutely would file online again if I had to do it all over again (before the I-751 was complete).

Thanks man and congratulations to your husband . My field office is Houston that’s why I m thinking to apply or not .many cases are still pending .

My two cents: Recent 6 months of utilities bills, joint bank statements , house ownership, health/car insurance, photos, Tax transcripts  etc.+ anything showing on your appointment letter. Ofcourse, bring your spouse with you.

Was the interview scheduled for the N400 or the I751?  If the N400, then no additional information is required except for any evidence of international travel that may have occurred since filing the N400, or any traffic citations you may have incurred, or job changes, etc..  As to the I751,bring any new evidence you may have received or created in the past 19 months.

Good Luck!

My interview was this morning. The officer first interviewed me and my wife for I-751 and was approved on the spot. But, as for the N-400...she said she was going to approve me but I recently moved to another state 4 months ago, so she said she couldn't approve me today then. She had to send all my application to the other USCIS state where I currently reside, but she wrote a long note on the application that everything was fine. :( Does anyone know anything about this? Like, how long will it take to receive an oath?

I-751 (Removal of Conditions)

[08/03/16] Package delivered to USCIS (California Service Center)

[08/05/16] NOA (never received, lost in the mail)

[10/07/16] Biometrics (early walk-in on 09/27/16)

[05/07/18] Case transferred to NBC

[06/25/18] Interview was scheduled

[07/30/18] Combo I-751/N-400 interview

[07/30/18] APPROVED AT COMBO I-751/N-400 INTERVIEW

N-400 (Naturalization) with pending I-751 (Removal of Conditions)

[07/31/17] Package sent to USCIS (NBC)

[08/07/17] NOA

[08/31/17] Biometrics

[12/20/17] In line for interview

[06/25/18] Interview was scheduled

[07/30/18] Combo I-751/N-400 interview

[08/31/18] NOID received

[09/07/18] NOID response sent back to USCIS

[10/02/18] In line for oath ceremony

[11/13/18] Oath ceremony was scheduled
