Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed

I want to thanks everyone, it was a quite long terrifying journey. I have learned lot of useful information from visajourney, which helped me lot. Also I heard lot of horror story from few people which made me worried too. But in the end I got my citizenship after 3 years and 4 months. I wish good luck to all and please don't stress yourself, if you provide true information there is nothing to worry about. I filled my all application myself, no attorney, my I-751 application was only about 30 Pages (tax returns, car loan, joint bank accounts, health insurance, 2 affidavit etc). I added only 1 tax return and house deed with naturalization application.

Here is My Complete Time Line -

Marriage - 06/25/2014

I-130 - 08/22/2014

Visa - 11/10/2015

US Entry - 12/12/2015

I-751 - 09/16/2017

N-400 - 09/14/2018

Citizenship Approval - 04/04/2019

So, I just had my combo interview I-751+ N-400 in West Palm Beach office.

we had a 1:15 appointment and we were there at 12:50 and the officer called us within 5 minutes of sitting.

As soon as I saw him I told him I brought my hubby with me and he said it was ok because it was 2 cases so I was happy it was going to be a combo interview.

The officer was so nice it didn't even felt like an interview, he only asked us if we are still living in the same house and joked that he assume we were still married. He asked if we had anything new to add so I gave him last 3 months of bank statements, car insurance, electric bills and our 2018 tax.

After that my husband and the IO passed their time talking about watch's and cars and my husband didn't know that I still needed to answer the question for citizenship and told the IO that we was keeping him to long and we were going to leave lol.

Then the IO said that he was going to approve our I-751 and asked me if I study, I said so,so.

He asked me the No and Yes questions first and then asked me to read and write "where is the capital of the US"

write: The Capital is in Washington D.C"

he asked me 6 questions and stop there because I got them all right and hand me the N-652 where he checked approved and then congratulate me!

I smile to my hubby and told him that I was just approved to become a citizen and he tanked the IO.

we said our good byes and told him thank you for making us feel like it wasn't a interview.

My status show "Oath Ceremony Notice was mailed"

I'm so happy and relieve of this long process, but finally got here.

Thanks Visa Journey for always guide me.

This website has helped me trough this process from the beginning and I'm thankful to all of you, and wish everyone the best of luck on their process.😘

Hi everyone!  I am new to this group, but I filed my husbands I-751 in September of 2017.  After 18 months of letters of extensions and one RFE in January, I checked the status today and I saw that a "new card is being processed."  I am assuming this an approval?   There was no interview or biometrics requested.  Does this mean we should expect a 10 year Green Card in the mail?

I'm afraid to get too excited.  lol

SEP 2017  File for I-751 >>>>DEC 2018 file  N-400 online

Received a Scheduled Interview on Application for Naturalization notice for May

I have 18month Extension Letter. Haven't received 10yGC.

It says to bring IDs, original documents etc, however it doesn't say any thing about if other spouse needs to be present.  I see here some folks brought their spouses to interview.  Is this really necessary ?  Did the officer question your spouse?

My wife would need to take a day off work.  I was just thinking of going by myself.  I'm happy they called me so quickly and will study of course.

It will be most likely a combo interview.. In order to get I-751 part done, your spouse will need to be with you. N400 is for applicant only, so that'll be done by yourself..  Since N400 will not be approved till I-751 is approved, you may get interview rescheduled if you go alone..

Hi everyone! I filed I-751 in September 14, 2017 then filed N-400 in December 7, 2018.

I finally got interview dates for both cases!

N-400 is in April 22 and I-751 is in May 15.

My online case status of I-751 hasn’t changed since March 1st and it says: “Case was transferred to your local USCIS office to have an interview scheduled.” ...So I didn’t expect to get the letter today.

I was hoping to have a combo interview since it’ll be at the same office but I guess it’s not happening. However my husband is still coming with me for my N-400 interview ( just to be there for me) so I’ll bring this letter and documents of I-751 just in case.

*Posting this on both threads I-751 and N-400 for sharing my updates.
