Similar scenario here, we contacted our congressman sometime last week and the first response from USCIS wasn't all that great. It basically said "Our records show that this case is pending at the National Benefits Center (NBC). The NBC processing cases of this type as of June 30, 2017." and that our case was after that date.

Ended up getting an email earlier today from our congressman with an update from USCIS saying "Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter. This case is currently under review with an officer.  Your constituent should receive a decision or notice of other action shortly. "

I'm curious how long "shortly" is, but at least its some update after months of silence :) .

Hey, congrats :) 🎈🎉

It has to feel awesome to be finally over with this, well, *this* green card processs.

Especially after you _thought_ you had a bad interview.

I am particularly interested in the "we said the wrong things" part. I think I'll be like you (nervous because of psychological anxiety) in the interview date (if that day EVER comes for us lol) and think everything went wrong. So thank you for sharing your experience since it's different from what I've been reading (people seem to be so prepared and say and show the right things... I am great with analyzing stuff/people but certainly not the soul of the party or talkative. I occasionally feel concerned that I won't say anything at all, hah).

Thank you again for sharing it and I'll ask questions when the time comes. <3 My only concern is the family questions they ask, everyone seems to know everyone's families or don't have any family issue/drama. I love my in-laws and my SO's family as we basically live next to them for a year now but my partner doesn't know my family. I had an abusive father (mostly to my mother) and don't have contact with him in a long time, probably won't see him again because he's just... a very difficult human. In the other hand, my mom is cool and yeah we will meet her. We talk to her over telegram (the app lol). But not sure how to tell this, if asked (and it will be asked, it is one of the questions: "have each other's families met???") during the interview. :/ so i'll have to think about that.

Oh yeah, I also think Hamilton wanted to know if the passport is absolutely necessary to bring or if it only serves as an ID.

congrats again <3

I feel that you just need to be honest about that... If the question pop, just say what you wrote that's it...

01/05/17    I-129F mailed to CSC

Oh man, I'm glad you got an update but at the same time I can't help but think, "Is that really all they can tell us?!?!". I've been going back and forth about contacting the ombudsman. If I knew there was a good chance they could shake my file out of the tree and get the EAD approved, I would. But I fear all I will hear from them is, "Your case is still pending and USCIS confirmed they received it."

Yep, noticed that as well... I think before Dec 26th it was July 11th or something. Prior to Early December it was something like September was being processed. Now I believe its June 30. Not sure what is causing the date to go back. I guess just proof that it isn't just us that is experiencing delays, something is really going on over there.

Oh hmm so it does. Yet it says "updated Jan 5" at the bottom. I'm throwing my hands up. I have no damn clue. I really wish we had one of those memory flash things from the Men in Black movies that wipe your memory so I can wipe mine of this whole thing.

Yeah that's kind of the strange thing... If I recall correctly, the processing times page actually used to say As of September 31st it was processing September then went back to July, then I think recently is when it bumped to October 31. So the As of date is moving forward, but the processing date is going backwards?
