What do you mean by "putting in a service request" can you explain that?

I feel like you all guys, I called USCIS last week to open a SR, according to Tier 1 they have 30 days to "resolve" my inquiry.

Good morning,

SR is service request, they created one when you call to follow up.

The waiting game for adjusting and permission to work is what comes with choosing the K-1 route. You chose it so you will have to wait until they are ready to adjudicate your petition. I know it sucks, i have been there myself with 129 days until my EAD got approved but it's something you knew would happen - no matter how much it sucks.

I'll quote it again, like in another topic yesterday; From the USCIS website

  • Quote

Eliminate the regulatory provision that requires USCIS to adjudicate the Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, within 90 days of filing and that authorizes interim EADs in cases where such adjudications are not conducted within the 90-day timeframe.

I also raised a SR 2 weeks ago and spoke to a L2 officer yesterday.

She said that the reply to the SR will most prob be that "your case is under processing".. so basically no real update.

She also said that the USCIS was behind on their EAD/AP processing and they are no longer able to issue EAD/AP in 90 days - its more like 120 days now..

So wait is all we can do.. good luck to everyone who is waiting..

Hello guys,

I have question, did anyone know about estimate receiving the EAD? How long usually it takes?

I applied along with my AOS, and I had been doing fingerprint (biometric)

Thank you in advance

You might receive your EAD either some time in August or September.

You won't get your EAD this week and you are still within the processing time. So no reason to call them. All they will tell you is that you have to wait.

Like other members already said, people who went the K1 route (including me) knew that I would take 3 to 4 months until we get the EAD in the mail.

Yours so fast, lucky ☺️

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you took a different route (K-1). Not sure if it made any difference, but I did AOS.

Good luck, I know how frustrating it can be sometimes.

It sucks :( but nothing else I can do beside wait. Patience is hard 😥
