I totally get you.  I figured if they turn me away I just have to cancel the vacay one more day which would hurt but I'd really have no choice.

I dislike rude, boastful and arrogant people and usually I have no time for them....but in this case, because of the place I was in, I allowed it since I needed the gain.

:)

Same here! Still waiting for my bio letter

Hi... I'm so sorry but seems like for some reason this "method" doesn't work for you..

I've just tried (was checking on myself  if I gave you the right directions) and yes, after last "press 2" there are two option: press 1 (ignore) and press  6 to speak  to a representative...

Just saw this today... You may try.. Hope this will help

"How to talk to a live person at USCIS?

Contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283.

Call early in the morning (8.00 am)

Option 1: Then dial 1, 2, 6, 2, 4 (exact sequence). Use these options every time you are prompted.

(You can also try - 1 - 2 - 1 - Case Number - 1 - 3 - 3 or 4)

Option 2: Call USCIS and Do not press anything (don't choose a language). They will think you have a rotary phone and will transfer you directly to a live person.

Option 3: Don't don’t choose the number for “case status”, but do different ones instead (for example “RFE”; “expedite your case”, …)

Option 4: Military Help Line: 1-877-CIS-4MIL (1-877-247-4645); Members of the military and their families may call to receive assistance with immigration-related questions.

If they speak Spanish just say English please. Now you can ask what you want.

Another method:

1. Dial the number.

2. Once it starts ringing, don't touch the phone, punch no buttons.

3. After 2 to 5 minutes, you'll be transferred to a Spanish Speaker.

4. Let the Spanish Speaker wind down, then Say, "English Please".

5. Once he/she gives the same spill in English, pose your question or ask to be transferred to an ISO, a Tier 2 Human."

Hi, thanks . I will keep this and try 1 of these methods another day.

On Saturday (29th) I received my Biometrics letter with an appointment on Aug 11th... Since I will be heading up for my daughters' appointment this week, I'll see if they will do mine at the same time.... from what I've been seeing about early walk-in's this shouldn't be a problem, but at this stage, I really don't care if I have to go back next week for my own appointment :)

It's up to a Tier 2 Immigration Officer to stamp a passport., not up to "biometric" people. So just try to make an InfoPass appointment at the same day as your Bio.

Also, you should make a copy of your green card, just in case if it's kept "in exchange" for a stamp. Sometimes they do keep a green card, sometimes they don't. But you'll know at the moment they stamp the passport :)

P.S. We had to get my son's passport stamped - his NOA1 has never arrived.. . Looks good, btw :):)

Good luck!

It does not look good for me, here's what turned out -> My biometrics app is in St Louis but my USCIS local office is in Kansas City, so I will have to make an extra trip cuz someone lost my letter! :crying:

You are welcome ;)

I'm so sorry for an extra trip you'll have to make.

There was something really strange going on with all these Notices... My son's NOA1 has never been received, although I was told by IO it's been sent at the same day as mine.

The next - biometric appointment. I got mine, but never his... I called USCIS,  got a Tier 2 on hold, and was told, again - his biometric was sent along with mine... and scheduled for the same day and the same time as mine! That person was

so kind and faxed my son's biometric Notice to me, because there was no way it would've found us BEFORE our actual appointment.  And as soon as we got back from our biomertric, we fount his Appointment Notice in the mail box... 17 day after it was sent!

I think you should take your Biometric Notice with you, for an Infopass appointment. just in case, as a proof you are receiving mails at the current address and etc... Besides, it has your actual case #, NOA1 - doesn't.

P.S. I'm from MO as well :dancing:

I must be pressing the wrong options as if when I press 3 then 2 ..I get  the following: when you press 2, you get info on what roc means and how to do it; what forms are for what ; visit uscis for more info and talk to virtual emma and you can download forms. End of that message is press 1 to order form and if you want to speak to representative about topic..you need to call back m-f  8-6pm  ( I am calling at 330 pm PST)

I dialled 800 375 5283

>pressed 1 for english

>pressed *

>pressed 4 for LPR

>pressed 1 for lpr services

>pressed 3 then 2

I think you need to call earlier using ET times. 3:30 your time would have been already 6:30 ET which according to the response is after the 6pm cutoff time for speaking to a representattive. Try calling back during earlier time and see if you get a better outcome.

I mailed my pack off on Monday - USPS tracking shows it was received on Wednesday (7/25).  Here's hoping that I've filled in the form correctly and that they cash my check and start looking through my evidence - my whole packet weighed in 2lb 13 oz.

I was meant to send it off on June 29 (when my 90 day window opened), but we had our first child (daughter) on June 10th and the world has been a little crazy since then.  I'm so glad I got most of my packet together before she arrived.

I can't believe it's been over 2 years since we were all on this journey before.  Was anyone else a March 2015 filer for their AOS?

Hello everyone. I just did my biometrics here in el monte today and it was actually smooth and quick. In and out in 30 mins. They gave me back my biometrics letter with stamp already on it. Do I just keep it in my file? I don't remember getting my biometrics letter back when I did my change of status. A little help please with everyone that already did their biometrics. Thanks in advance.
