Hi! So I started freaking out. I sent my ROC paperwork 06/17. Got the extension right after and this year I got the notice indicated no biometrics were needed. My extension expires next month. I was waiting for the 18 month notice but nothing yet, I have tried to schedule an appointment but nothing available. When I called they told me the same thing I already knew, They were sending the 18 months notices but couldn't tell me when and that I should go ahead an make an appointment if I didn't get it.

My problem is that I need that so I can keep working. I just got a state license as well and of course it will cancel as soon as the extension expires. I check the website everyday and still no appointments available, is it always like that? the nearest one is 4 hours away, AL. How can I make an appointment if they don't have anything? Do you just show up? If I have to do that I have to plan it because I will take vacation time just for that and I would hate they wont let me in if I just walk in. Has anybody received the updated notice for the 18 months?

Also, I want this processes to go faster because my husband got order overseas and need to get all the paperwork done asap. I tried to expedite it but since we don't have official orders yet I don't think they are taking it seriously.  I recently sent my N400 too.

Once he gets orders in hand, you should try this

https://www.uscis.gov/military/citizenship-military-personnel-family-members/citizenship-spouses-and-children-military-members

"Spouses of U.S. citizen service members who are (or will be) deployed abroad may be eligible for expedited naturalization in the United States under section 319(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). "

K1

29.11.2013 - NoA1

06.02.2014 - NoA2

01.04.2014 - Interview.

AoS

03.2015 - AoS started.

09.2015 - Green Card received.

RoC

24.07.2017 - NoA1.

01.08.2018 - RoC approved.

Thank you. I applied through that but no official orders until who know when. I am trying to get any other doc similar to see if it works. Once I get the naturalization I am going to apply for a no fee passport and a regular passport so that is more time. Hurry up and wait pretty much.

Long time reader first time poster.

EAC17269**** approved today with status saying “New Card is being Produced”. To say that I’m relieved is an understatement. Reading posts here for the past year has really helped to keep me going!

i submitted an inquiry on the USCIS website last week because I never received a notification by mail saying my case had been transferred to the local office. I know it wasn’t really a good reason but it seems to have gotten their attention. Yesterday my name was updated and the actions taken on my inquiry said that they had sent me a notice. Then today it said card being produced.

anyone know how long it takes for them to send cards at this point?

My receipt date was the end of June 2017.

i noticed one vsc june case,  updated on june 22 "name was updated", then on july 3, updated as " request of additional evidence was mailed"

so weird

Thanks for these updates gc, they're very informative.

I'm curious, do you know if the status changes when applicants are invited for interview?

nope, i dont know

i guess no one really knows how uscis updates case processing status.  i have seen some cases without any updates and straight to card was delivered; i have also seen so many cases got " card was delivered by usps "  update first,  then work backward, with " card was produced" , "card was mailed" updates.

among 206 cases starting with eac17251,  26 cases were asked for additional evidence so far,  thats a lot !

76 cases have been approved :D

It really stinks to have waited this long, just to receive an RFE :( It doesnt seem like they work very quickly on them (surprise, surprise).

On a positive note, it seems like the app is updating regularly again..so i guess we have that going for us...

also, eac17256, my day, has had a lot of activity yesterday and today :)

On July 6, 2018, I received an update on the case tracker that "New Card is being produced." Just today, July 10, 2018 I just received they are mailing my new card.
