Affidavit of Support Question on Proving Income

Hello everyone! It probably would have made more sense to ask this before I sent everything off, but I have a question about the likeliness of having to submit information for a cosponsor. My tax return for 2016 would indicate that I don't make the 125% that is required, but that is only because I graduated last year and started working in August. I got hired in August to be a Spanish teacher in my city's school district, and I definitely make more than enough. As evidence of my income I provided a copy of my contract, a letter from the Human Resources supervisor stating my hiring date and salary, the past three months wage statements, and a letter from one of my supervisors indicating that I am doing well and that they would like to continue my employment. My tax transcripts also don't show a lot because before this job I was only a Spanish tutor at my college and didn't make a lot. Do you think that this evidence will be enough to prove my income? Would they still request a cosponsor? With the 11 week processing period I'm really hoping I won't get an RFE, but I'd like to be prepared if it might happen. Any ideas would be appreciated! :)

Even though you don't have Income for  Last 3 Years. Joint Sponsor not required- You are fine I guess

They only see your Current Employment with 3 or 4 Pay Stubs..                                                                                                                              Interview time, you should show that your earnings are above poverty (YTD $26,000  for 3 people )

They will consider tax return as most authentic document, if your most recent income is below 125% CO or NVC may ask for joint sponsor

I have been thru the same scenario, NVC didn't ask for anything but CO did

Yes but it will not consider until you file in your tax returns, as you know even full time job is not contiguous and the only proof is tax return by the E.O.Y

yes i am working with county and earning more then enough (60K+) but since my job was started in last September my tax returns was not showing 125% in 2016. I provide my employment confirmation letter my recent pay stub showing my current income. At the time of interview CO gave RFE to submit joint sponsor I-864.

There is no question about YTD income.  If you make a thousand a week, your current income is $52,000 no matter how long you've had the job or how short a time you've had the job.  If you lost your job yesterday, your income is $0 no matter how much you've made YTD.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

Hammad,

Oh my God..Sorry to hear. They can't do like that..Now You have to find Joint  Sponsor and send I 864 to Embassy
