Why does medical have to be a full week before consulate interview?  They give you all the paperwork on day 2 you go back.

My understanding it is "can" be closer but they want to make sure that everything is complete.  I have heard people have had the Medical on Monday and Tuesday with the interview scheduled for Wednesday.  It can happen but any delay at SLEC can mess up the interview appointment.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

So if I really needed to finish this year I could do like Monday and Tuesday medical and like Friday appointment and they wouldn't mind?

I can't imagine why they would care as long as your medical is complete and you passed the TB test.  I've heard  a few that did medical and interview on the same week.  That is what we are going to try if we ever make it through NVC!

First relax.  Wait until you get the letter and simply supply what they ask for.  RFEs don't have to add a lot of time to the process.  Just respond as soon as you get the letter and all is well.  There are many RFEs every month.  It is nothing to be worried about just yet.  Wait to see what they ask for.

It actually is good news because you petition was reviewed.  Now it will sit in the adjudicator's RFE pile and he will review it again as soon as you respond.  Keep your chin up.  This is not a bad thing.

Thanks. I'm sick of this

Have you had any updates? I called today and still nothing new. They just say that it is a known technical issue and they are working on it but can give no time frame. I also sent a request to my congressman to look into to it today, hopefully that results in something. I still haven't been able to speak with a supervisor either.

Hello, well it turns out on friday my fiance called NVC again and got to talk to a supervisor, he said there was no such thing as a system error (??) and our case was already in the consulate.

After that, on friday, my fiance emailed the consulate here explaining everything that nvc told us and demanding some action. Today we both received the email from them that our case is there and we can schedule the interview (which i already did two weeks ago lol).

So now we're good to go.

I'm sorry you have no news, I do think there is a error in their system but I think our case wasnt affected, it was just a coincidence, it was more like the consulate lost our case and found now. My status was "ready" for a few days and thats why it makes me think that, but I have been talking to two brazilian girls that are having the exact same issue as you are and they told me today they don't have any new either :(
